Hi folks.
Last week's winner, Cei-U!, let me know that he didn't have the time to put together a quiz right away (we've seen what's keeping him busy - keep at it, Kurt!), so I thought I'd bring in another quiz.
The quiz is perfect for people with photographic memories. You've got to remember certain details from Iconic Covers.
Here is how this works.
Answer as many questions as you can - DO NOT look at other replies before posting your answers.
Answer only once - do not edit your answers at a later time.
DO NOT use the internet for help. That will suck all of the fun out of it, as these will be easy to answer.
There are 2000 possible points at stake. I have tried to distribute points according to difficulty but that's in the eye of the beholder.
The contest closes Friday at 5:00 PM EST, and I'll tally the points.
The winner is given the option of creating next week's questions?

Infantino cover, right? The only odd thing that sticks in my mind is that the different camps are rooting for the wrong heroes -- the ones behind Superman are rooting for Flash, and the ones behind Flash are rooting for Superman, I think. Something odd like that. This really confused me as a kid. I can't remember anything else.

Kurt - it's up to you if you want to carry the torch into next week. Perhaps one of the runner-ups would like to give it a shot.
Otherwise, I'll try to come up with some new questions next week.

Rob Allen is spending the weekend at my place. I'll bet between us we can come up with a good quiz.

I can't tell you how much it bugged me as a kid that the balloons on this cover were lettered wrong.

Just like in school you are told by the teacher to always read the question verry carefully, I should have done so here. Even with the comic right in front of me I still, like you pointed out LR, managed to get the sides reversed. Your question asked literally who stood on Flashes and who stood on Supes side... I read it quickly, and figured you wanted who was on whose side in terms of support and cheering. You got me... Very clever LR. Lesson learned this time?... Probably not!

I knew my Batman and the Outsiders knowledge would come in handy one day! :p I was one character away from sweeping that question.
When I think of the Hall of Monuments cover, the only statute I can clearly visualize is Ferro Lad. I actually got Shadow Woman because of the Levitz/Giffen story which explained it by temporarily having Shadow Lass use that name and change her skin color (I think through makeup). There's probably a similar reference to the Hall of Monuments in the 1980s Reflecto, but I didn't realize it.
Did anyone out there get Shadow Woman or Reflecto based on the 1980s stories rather than from remembering the Adventure cover?

Yeah - sorry about that one.
I wasn't actually trying to be too tricky.
Initially I wanted to ask 'Who is cheering for Superman/Flash' but then I realized that technically we only know one person cheering for Supes and one for Flash. We really don't know how the others are voting (especially with the side switcheroo) - so I rephrased the question re side of the track.

This quiz isn't of the 'only answer what hasn't been answered' variety. It's like Cronin's old quizzes - where you just look at the questions and answer before you've look at the others.
If that's what your posted referred to - if not, I am sorry and a bit confused. Cheers!
