Welcome to the 38th installment of the 2006 HR/HM Update.

This week I'm starting off with a poll. I'm thinking about changing the format of how I do these updates in 2007. The basic poll question is this: Do you prefer the individual weekly (or so) update threads or would you rather see a single thread that's updated whenever there's information?

Okay, onto the regularly scheduled update.

I'd prefer a mega-thread now to be honest. When you update all the weekly threads, half the front page is taken up with them.

True but it's not like it stays that way, the threads get knocked down quickly enough.

I'm leaning towards a megathread, but I'm looking for some feedback. Don't forget to add your vote to the actual poll.

I'm almost afriad to ask. Is that person with the boobs a man or a woman?

I think a megathread might work well. Sort of like the ones on the TV board. It might also encourage other people to post news.

I like the weeklys, keeps the music board active.

I agree, I rarely ever see conversations on this board that I care to get involved in, so the more often I see one of these, the more often I get involved.

It's a guy with overdeveloped manboobs. (A phrase I never thought I'd see myself type in the HR/HM Update thread.)

For anyone interested I just read that the first single from Trivium's new album "The Crusade" will be Anthem, the single goes on sale today and includes two songs, "Broken one" and "Vengeance" which won't be availible anywhere else. Trivium has loaded "Broken one" on their Myspace page here:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=5047134

so they can check out Broken one also.

The Crusade goes on sale next tuesday October 10th.

I got their new CD (Keeper of the Seven Key, the Legacy) last week. I have to say I was surprised at how good it was. I hadn't gotten a Helloween CD since Michael Kiske left the group, but I have to say I was impressed with the new-to-me singer whose name I forgot. And musically it was everything I ever liked about Helloween.

See, this is why I shouldn't get online before I go to work. I want to watch this, now, but I can't. I have to sign off and go change. It sucks.

I feel your pain, I just found the news about a new instrumental Chris Caffery song online and I don't have time to listen.

Hmm, I wonder if month-long threads would work? Ie. October 2006 updates, November 2006 updates, etc.
