In a word, dynamic.
The music was very loud, the mood was bubbly, there was sketching and painting and drawing and laughter, spontaneous dancing and cheering whenever a freshly-finished piece of art was held up.
Richard and his superb crew from Zeus Comics, the good folks from Pop Syndicate and PVP and Fanboy Radio, in partnership with the excellent bartenders and waitstaff of the beautiful Metro Grille and a pair of block-rockin' turntablers, put together a social and art event that was memorable for everyone.

Damn I wish I could have gone.
But it just shows, people like Larry, Scott Kurtz, Chris and Richard are the kinds of friends to have, the kind that show up and don't run out when the going is tough.
Awesome.

Lar-ry! Lar-ry! Lar-ry! It was so awesome to get to spend more (relax) time. He really did go out of his way to come down to the event. He brought extra supplies for the artists. It was real community.
Everyone was a rockstar.
The peice Larry made was gorgeous. We're assembling photos at the moment (and recovering). There was even a bidding war on the piece. Larry was so cool to do a sketch for my friend Kris who lost on the bidding.
Just said goodbye to Lea and girl. Lea was doing free mini sketches for LJers and peeps. Girl even got up and did to fantastic pieces. There will be much sharing soon.
I have many many thank yous and a big recap. I need a day to sleep first.

I was really impressed with all the work Larry put in to help with this show. Including, I found out later, a couple who lost a bidding war for one of his pieces was treated to an exclusive sketch.
Larry really went above and beyond.
I was busy the entire evening while trying to swtay conscience from my allergy medication. Ugh!

Larry, your painting was amazing!
I had a fantastic time. I met Lea for the first time (and immediately turned into a sputtering, blubbering fanboy) and she was super-nice.
I took pics from the event until my camera batteries died. Here's a few:
