Anyone Read Philip Reeves' Hungry Cities Series?

I'm curious about it and want to hear what people think. It's being mentioned in the same breath as Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials series and seems to be some form of Victorian steampunk in style. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

These books (3 so far) were a very good read. Different from alot of your run of the mill Science Fiction. I really enjoyed them. I mean, moving cities eating each other .......
