Age of Apoc ?????

In the age of Apoc I was wondering about contunity ETC.Is it an Alternate universe in Modern day, or is it in the future .Is the technology level a bit more advanced an things of that nature.I read New Age the Trade an i wondered what state the entire world was in after defeating Apoc, like post nuclear war desctruction, or was society still together an had a system.Any help would be apreicated. If anyone knows of any good back round sites on AOA if you could write them down it would be apreciated.

It is an alternate reality, with the designation 295. The technology does appear to be a bit more advanced. This is probably due to Sinister's and Beast's intelligence and Celestial technology Apocalypse had acquired. I don't think it was explained what the world state was after Apocalypse died. I would almost assume there was chaos in the wake of a government. Wikipedia has a fairly nice entry on the event and Marvel.com has good entries on the characters within the stories.
