Have you been members in any comicbook clubs, with memberships etc?

I don't know how common those clubs was in USA?

Here we had The Phantom club (that is still around), Superman club and Mickey Mouse club etc.

That is the Black Hawks club:D (the text says: Be a member in Swedens thoughest club)

Most of the clubs is gone and forgotten today but it was a lot of them around in the 50-80s, and i don't mean any fanclubs by individals but clubs started by the company behind the comicbook.

I was a member in Fantomenklubben (the Phantom club), well i still is i guess but i have lost my membernumber hehe.
I know i got a skullring and a member certificate and such things and i could advance in the club to be a "grandmaster" answering a lot of tricky questions about The Phantom world, you had to send in the tests to get new ones and slowly advance in the club:D

I think that they did have things like this in the states around the same time period but I haven't heard of any in the last few years. Has to do with the internet, I guess, much bigger group that way.

When I was looking through some random "stuff" that came out of my uncle's house after he passed away, I found an early felt-tip pen that had "Dell Comic Book Club" printed on it. He was a big comic book reader in the Golden Age, but most of his stuff (comics, radio premiums, movie cards) went into the trash when my grandfather sold the house in '65.
