Tomorrow I'm dropping a marketing packet in the mail to Diamond Distribution.

This is pretty big for me and I'm nervous as hell.

If I get accepted Honor Brigade goes nationwide, which hopefully leads to bigger and better things.

If I don't get accepted, well, that would suck. It won't be the end of the world or the end of me working in comics. It is a serious roadblock though. I'm too old for roadblocks.

I wasted many years not doing comics, plodding along at a job that frankly, bores me to tears. These last two years working in comics, despite the hardships, have been exciting. I want more.

So, please, cross your fingers and toes for me.

Thanks.

Yeah, Tom, good luck man. Diamond would mean the bigtime, too. If not, you've always got us (even if we do have TC around).

I must admit Gail letting me post a picture of Adrian's may have gone to my head. The problem is I have nowhere to go from here. There is literary nothing left for me to do that will shock you guys.:(

We can talk about how random genetic mutation dictates evolution of all species.

Or we can talk about how young people today may be tech savy, but not tech literate.

We can also talk about how video games modify its users short term behavior, but has a neligable effect on its users long term.

Naw. Tell us how classes are going? Will you ever collect comics again? What would make you come back to comics, and what other actors do you like.

1. Classes are going good.

2. I made a promise not to collect comics untill I become a lawyer.

3. I stopped watching TV in the ninties, and spend most of my time buying DVDS imported from Japan.

Any you have nothing to talk about? You're holding out on us. ;)

I gave up comics because I can't afford them right now, except Nextwave, which I purchased a subscription to a while ago.

I don't know if I could give up televison completely, although, I admit that it has become a distraction, more than anything. I could save the money I spend on cable buying DVD's. I mainly watch crime shows Law and order, CSI, the Closer, etc.

I had no choice in giving up tv. Since I entered the workforce I've either had to work or go to school Monday through Sunday nights, so naturally that limited my selection.

I work second shift. I miss all of primetime programming. i catch some on week-ends, and when classes are on break, my hours change. Still i love the escapism tv brings. i thought about limiting cable, and simply buying more DVD's per month.

Good luck Tom, Honor Brigade is a great book and you deserve good things to happen.
Either way, I'm waiting for issue 3

Good luck, Tom.

If the book does get rejected it's not the end of the world. Mine was but I think it's more because I'm an unknown with no track record. The artist I hired (JenniferRodgers.com) has a respectable track record yet Diamond told me the art wasn't good enough.

If you don't want a roadblock, you might want to consider working on an 'adult' comic. It doesn't seem to matter what the content is or how degrading it is or even how bad the art is, Diamond will carry it because apparently it sells well enough for them to make money.

You might also want to try International Enterprise for over-seas publishing. I'm giving them a try with my book right now.
