well most of my life i was indifferent to the subject at hand (well until high school and college anyway).it was just never a big deal in my family growing up,so i was oblivious about it for the most part.so it was kinda weird the first time i encountered this problem circa my high school years.in hindsight i had seen this issue brought up in subtle ways during middle school.but i just brushed it off as stupidity,and typical tweener name calling.in that context i didn't think it was anything out of the ordinary.but most people,specificly girls seemed to be really bothered by it though.
