so who's watching this,
Runaway chronicles the life of the Raders, an average American family who just moved to Bridgewater, Iowa. Although they may look like the perfect family neighbors see every day in their lives, the Raders are also a family with a secret: they are frequently on the run from the law. That's because Paul Rader, the patriarch of the family, was convicted for a crime that he didn't commit. But there is also another reason for trying to keep his family together: they are also hunted by the real killer, who had made good on targeting his family, especially his children. These two reasons alone are enough for Paul to seek out the evidence that will clear him and end the nightmare that put him and his family in hiding from the justice system, which seeks to capture him and the person who framed him.i almost missed it,its airing right now on CW.it seems like the fugitive except with a family of 5 instead of one guy.any thoughts on the show?...
Being as it's only 15 minutes in I don't have much of an opinion yet. I'm already sick of the older boy having to adjust, though.

I'm already sick of the older boy having to adjust, though.his frustration is kinda understandable though.as oppose to the other teen snots on other shows, who bitch and moan just to bitch and moan, you actually feel for him.atleast i do because i was in a transitional period with my family when i was a teen.we had money that wasn't the problem, the problem was it took us along time to find the right place to stay.we were just like this family.we ate alot of junk food, fast food, and stuff from local deli's.so i'm probably more personally invested :).but so far i like how the family is coping with the situation.
Yeah, I think they're doing a good job with the subjet matter. I'm just not intersted in that type of story. I'm only interested in the wrongful conviction/stalked by the killer angle.

actually i don't think he even went to trial yet.i think he should warn his family of that ominous message he got.that'll probably keep those kids in check :)

In that synopsis it says he was wrongfully convicted, so that's what I assumed. And I must have missed the message.
I might give this another episode or two, but I didn't find the pilot to be that interesting.

i think it was the verry last few minutes of the show...
Ah. I kinda zoned out. It seemed like the answering the door was going to be the end, but it just kept going.

The show, which I thought was GREAT (more later in a post when I get home), did SHITTY in the ratings. It drew about 2.2 million viewers and came in dead last for the time slot.

I like Fugitive knockoffs, generally; everything from Hot Pursuit to Nowhere Man to Run For Your Life to The Incredible Hulk. I usually am good for at least checking out an episode.
But we just got bored with this... gave up on it somewhere around when the guy's restaurant window got broken. Everyone was too morose and it was all too slow. A show about being on the run should have more, well... running. Sat up a couple of times when they STARTED to talk about the actual mystery, but... I dunno. Just couldn't get into it.

Its a shame it shows at the same time as heroes, because heroes will undoubtedly get my full attention, but i caught a repeat the following night of this show, and i liked what i saw,.

I think those of us who like the show had best enjoy it while we can. The ratings went down further for the second episode. It drew only 1.9 million viewers.

I agree. To me, this show seems like a typical family drama. The fugitive angle just feels more like a really bizarre subplot than the focus of the show.
