Being someone who loved Quasar, Silver Surver, Captain Mar-vell and other cosmic characters in the 70s to the 80s should I pick this up?

I've been skimming through the threads here and there and I would like some general feedback. I was thinking of getting back into Marvel but I've ZERO interest in Spider-man, mutant titles or the Civil War story.

Couldn't hurt to give it a try. The PROLOGUE, if you can still get it, is a great taste of the event. Otherwise, ANNIHILATION #1 is a fine place to jump on. There's action, humor, and a whole lot of entertaining comic bookery.

Thanks to the people who msg'ed me about this. I think I might pick it up. Is it close to ending? That way I can pick all of them up in one shot at my store, Archway Comics (hint hint) in Little Neck (Q12 bus from Roosevelt Avenue)
