The "Great White North" is about to get greater, as Marvel Comics introduces the Canadian superteam Omega Flight to fans in 2007. We spoke with 'Flight artist Scott Kolins to learn more and about why this is a great series for "Alpha Flight" fans.

Looking forward to this.

Membership seems to include at least 2 Canadian heroes (assuming that is Vindicator/ Guardian and Talisman in the picture). The others appear to be Captain America (the character in the image's stance isn't right for US Agent), Beta Ray Bill and Spider Woman/ Arachne.

No thats definently US agent, the team working on the future omega flight is doing a short story starring US agent to be featured in a civil war compilation

If you check out Part 1 of my OF spotlight, Oeming basically admitted it is USAgent.

That really doesn't make sense to me. If I were Canadian, including him on their new superhero team would be an insult. It doesn't look right having him standing next to Guardian, who is wearing the Canadian flag. I don't know, it will probably be cancelled after 19 issues anyway...

Believe me, a lot of Canadians are Feeling the Skeptical at the moment, too...

I cut myself on the negativity walking into this thread.

Oeming and Kolins are top-flight talents, no pun intended. They've got a mysterious roster, which while not being unique, is still fun.

And Oeming said that there's going to be one more member added to the team. And my hunch is a certain female clone of a man with close ties to Alpha Flight...

I personally think this will be a lot of fun, something team books today are sorely lacking. I'll be checking out the first issue for certain.

this is gonna be a blast, especially if it is US agent on the team.
I'm a proud Canadian (those in the know, know that this isn't an oxymoron) and a Can team putting up US Agent would probably go over incredibly well here, it would look as if we "stole" something from the US. (Not my opinion but one that would be prevolant from a canadian "perspective")
All I ask is that they keep this book as far away from the old "Departmnt h, Department K, Weopan Prime, Weopan X) crap, and focus on the team in the here and now, dealiung with real problems of today.
I also understand that they might be going a little bit mystic in the first arc or 2, and I have no problem with that.
My fondest "Flight" memories were against the Great Beasts, and the whole Talisman arc, so follow through.
Just please.... Bring Back Marrina!

Everyone is assuming this new Omega Flight is not done in full partnership and cooperation with the American government. I'm not so sure about that.
But I am very happy to finally see Beta Ray Bill! Oeming writes the heck out of that guy!
