I love Roller Coasters.

Sadly, my middle-aged gut doesn't anymore.

They don't scare me, but I wanna puke now. The high-speed steel ones make me really dizzy.

So give me the old-school wooden ones, the kind that give you "air time."

My favorites are:

The Blue Streak (Cedar Point)
The Pheonix (Knoebels)
The Comet (Hershey Park)

I'll see if I can find pics later.

I love roller coasters as well, but the higher the drop the more I cannot handle them anymore.

My favorites include Batman, especially the one in Virginia, if you are in the front car there is a point when you are diving straight down at a river and at the last second it swoops away.

Also the Viper at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. It is a giant wooden roller coaster and on teh right days they run it backwards which is really fun.

The Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens in VA is like that.

That's my favorite suspended coaster.

I LOVE rollercoasters. There's one at Six Flags Great Adventure that opened last year, but has more or less been closed the majority of the time. Kingda-Ka, or something like that, that I can't wait to ride one day.

Man, I haven't been on a rollercoaster in five or so years.

The absolute best rollercoaster is *stiil* the Beast at King's Island. There may be higher, faster, scarier, blah, blah, ad infinitum, but it's still the best damn ride in the world.

And Cedar Point is still the center of the rollercoaster universe. My god, what a great place.

I have an old work companion that belonged to Coaster-Enthusiasts - or some club like it. They would literally travel around the country and ride Roller Coasters as a hobby.

Her favorite is the Beast. And she has rode a ton of Coasters.

And Cedar Point is still the center of the rollercoaster universe. My god, what a great place.

I haven't been there in 20 years. I need to go back.

Man, I miss Knoebel's. It will always be my favorite park. Decent prices on rides, food, shade everywhere, some serious nostalgia like the Haunted House... And the Phoenix seriously kicks ass. Wooden rollercoasters will always be superior in my opinion to steel coasters.

However, Knoebel's is way across the US from me and I only get to visit my grandparents in PA once a year at the most...

Knoebels is central Pennsylvania's best kept secret.

I love the Carousel too. Hand carved wooden horses are each a piece of art. And trying to get the gold ring is always fun.

Sadly, I still have yet to get my butt over to the Six Flags in Jersey and ride the uber awesome rides there, but I've been to the VA Busch Gardens, and Hershey Park, and I think my favorite is the Talon up at Dorney Park in Pennsylvania.

Oh, and Space Mountain in Disney World is special. First rollercoaster I went on.
