There was an article in my paper about Starbucks increasing the price of all their drinks by a nickel. The same article showed how much people pay for a cup of coffie and let's just say my repect for white people has taken yet another hit.

What I like is how my friends justify going there because they have wireless access. Well gee so does the library, the school, and most of thier houses. Unless you are networking or something there is no earthly reason to spend that much for a cup of coffee. none.

I think that expresso works like a drug. You will crave coffee or lattes if you don't have them for a few days. I do think there are cheaper places. A friend told me about the local coffee house which gives staff members discounts, which is my remedy for the cost.

I grew up in an intergrated neighborhood. I like Starbucks as it was the closest to my job, but I found the costs to be crazy I could easily spend $20.00 for lattes alone in a week. That's not to mention if the deserts don't look appealing. Barnes and Noble doesn't help either selling Starbucks and sandwhiches.

I must admit, I love the taste. The spending, not so much a fan of. I'd love to taper my habits. I should simply make my own coffre, and call it over.
