Not really, I downloaded it because I thought it was cute myself.

But in the anime it was one of the more creepy moments in the story.

I guess life really is full of suprises!:DAh, well there's a story behind that one :p There were a number of falling-outs* between the older Rumbles posters and the Rumbles management a while back, and alot of the former left (see Soap Operus boards).

*:
- Slayven was banned. A number of his friends (a good chunk of the Naruto fanbase here) left. Grumbles were had.
- The Off-Topic Soap Opera Thread (aka Soap Operus) was closed, partly in hopes of raising the level of discourse, partly because the super-large thread was apparently slowing down the board system. It was later brought back as Downtown Khazan, which sees periodic restarts to keep the size down. Grumbles were had while it was gone, but many of its people have settled back into Downtown Khazan. The rest might be found at SO.
- Chuckg was banned. Several people left.
- Peter was banned. Most of the remaining old guard left.

So now the Rumbles population is actually pretty different from what it was up till a year or few ago...

This board really seems to have a lot more history then most of the one's I've lurked through before. ^_^

The reason why I was suprised was because I long while ago I had stopped by the Soap Operus boards when my 'Bizzaro Art' sense started tingling. I really liked the art that was put up in the image threads by you and so I remembered your screen name. I also saw The Real Nemo's screen name but I quickly forgot it as I went to other image threads and image boards continuing my search for weird art. Then when I joined CBR I had a nagging feeling that I had seen The Real Nemo's screen name elsewhere before but I couldn't place it, and then you posted that link and everything was put together. 0_o

I remember the "giant blimp" season of Yugioh having weird moments where they would pair ridiculous foreshortening with these really creepy looks. Kaiba did it the most, and I think I saw it happen to Joey in one episode.

Despite being a minor character in the game (you can't date or have sex with him in the original version), his popularity exploded on the internet, helped by his cute face, flirty personality and tendency to wear female lingerie convincingly. A considerable portion of /a/ is completely obsessed with him; any thread about him features dozens of guys unabashedly declaring their lust, and any thread attempting to discuss other aspects of Happiness! inevitably gets sidetracked into a "gay for Jun" thread. In fact, most of /a/ would be hard pressed to name a single female character from the game. Creepy? I'm not sure, but it is contorted.Say it with dramatically rising and falling inflection and pitch. Adding a slight waver to your voice for "-tol-" really helps sell it.

Also, in the new Zelda there is a string of visual metaphors that ends with a VERY evil looking link revelling in the destruction of thousands and thousands of a chick he has the hots for, and then, just for a moment after that part ends he almost gets that face in reality. It is freaky sh!t.

It's from episode 30 (I think), it's one of the first things that happens.

Sasuke's face only looked like that for about 1\5th of a second though so it's hard to catch. Hope that helps.
