That thing with Thunderbird bothered me. Last we saw him, he was being treated for serious injuries. Did he die in that reality or something? And why would the Timebreakers have grabbed him if he had?

That Annual sounds like a wonderful story. I can't wait to read it.

No, he didn't die. He was in a coma and possibly brain dead. But we saw that the bugs always cleaned up the fallen Exiles/Weapon X's after the teams moved on. It was shown when the bugs and the crystal gallery was revealed, that they ported even the dead out afterwards. They put them in the crystal palace walls because they didn't want to leave them behind and possibly cause another disruption in that reality. So as soon as the Exiles popped out, they yoinked T-Bird out and slapped him into stasis in the wall.

I can't wait to get these issues in my hands and read them, but at the same time, it's an ending to Mr Bedards wonderful run. That said, the Annual and issue 89 both look like great stories! And Mr Calafiore is drawing both! Thank you!

Y'know, what's funny is that I actually hadn't intended to finish with two Original Exiles reprisals in the same month. These stories were written months apart, but due to the relativistic effects of publishing, here they come as if I only had one idea that month, and two books to fill up!

I can say they're very different stories, though. And I guess a tip of the hat to the book's roots is probably a fitting way to hit the road.

Jim Calafiore is drawing Exiles 89. The Annual is being drawn by Tom Raney (who drew the cover!).

That's probably up to Claremont to decide. Not to mention it would blow the story if he told you that. I can see CC deciding to keep him around. He did write the Thunderbird story for Giant Size X-Men #4, and probably would be happy to be able to use the character again, even if he's somethat different than original Thunderbird.

Plus when they get around to the teased Exiles/New Excalibur crossover, you have the reunion with Longshot/Dazzler as well as Thunderbird/Nocturne. :)

I really hope you're wrong about T-Bird taking Morph's place. He's my favorite part!

To me, Morph is as much a part of Exiles as Blink is.

I haven't, but a quick scan on Wikipedia tells me Shadow King is currently dead, killed just before Psylocke disappeared.

After that, the Shadow King controlled New Excalibur, minus Sage, to kill Captain Britain. Psylocke created a telekinetic bubble to give the Shadow King's host body a stroke. This freed the others from his control, but when Psylocke delivered the killing blow, she vanished in a flash of light.
