Who is your favorite Marvel Legends Villian?
Who is the villain/hero you WANT Marvel Legends to make?
I would have to say Thanos. I love the way Marvel Legends does they're figures, and I have been anctiously awaiting a super posable figure of Thanos, but no such luck.
I would also love it if they created a Moon Knight figure. I know he's not the most popular character, but that's what I love. Also, I love his costume!

Marvel Select will feature a highly poseable figure of Thanos. It won't be quite as poseable as a Marvel Legends version though. Toy Biz has said that his scale is such that he fits in with both Marvel Select and Marvel Legends. :)

I'd love to see some of the Brotherhood: Blob, Pyro, Mastermind, Avalanche;
Masters of Evil: Zemo, Executioner, Enchantress, Radioactive Man, Melter, Klaw, Whirlwind, Tiger Shark, Grey Gargoyle, Mr. Hyde, Absorbing Man, Titania;
Wrecking Crew;
More Spidey villians: Shocker, Mysterio, Hobgoblin, Boomerang;
...and Batroc's Brigade!

Baron Zemo or Kang would be cool.
But I would really like a Crossbones figure.

Zemo is the one character I want more than anyone else. He seems like the most likely T-Bolts figure to be made, and I really want an ML T-Bolt. They've been mentioned on the back of the package since Series 1, so you think they would have made one by now.

Masters of Evil: Zemo, Executioner, Enchantress, Radioactive Man, Melter, Klaw, Whirlwind, Tiger Shark, Grey Gargoyle, Mr. Hyde, Absorbing Man, Titania;
Well , Absorbing man has been done for Hulk classics which is essentially the same as the marvel legends line.
This guy did a very cool custom job on a marvel legends masters of evil.

I want a Marvel Legends Pyro, dammit. They can't just announce him for X-Men Classics and then simply cancel the line!
I'd also like other Brotherhood members, but am kind of obsessed with him because it was cancelled (plus, the other figs who were supposed to be in the same line as him have already been released or announced).

Hobgoblin
Green Goblin
Baron Zemo
Jack O' Lantern
Bullseye
Mysterio
Kingpin
The figure of Bullseye in series 9 is one of my favorite so far. I've always loved the costume and the mystery behind him. They have a figure of Mysterio coming out in the next wave of Spiderman Classics. Kingpin has been rumored to be in the future waves of Legends. I would LOVE to see them do a Baron Zemo figure.

That WOULD kick ass!! They've also been mentioning a figure of Black Panther since series 1, and they haven't gotten around to him until series 10. Instead of advertising Black Panther or the Thunderbolts on the package, they should have advertised, "200 different versions of Wolverine!" Or, "Land of 1000 Starks!"

I didn't even know that Pyro was a "planned" figure. That's a shame they never did anything w/ him. Pyro's one of the most under-used villains. Who else was supposed to be in the X-Men Classics line that was cancelled?

The 3 ML villains I'm most proud of owning are Juggernaut, Apocalypse, and Magneto.
I also love Electro, Green Goblin, Venom, Carnage, Saberooth and Doc Ock. I still want to get Dr. Doom from that FF ML pack though.
As far as the villains I want them to do, Kang and Baron Zemo definitely come to mind. The Beetle, Count Nefaria and classic Ultron would be great too.

A bit of a boo boo occured on Toy Biz's Customer Service Website. Someone seems to have accidentally loaded a heap of figures who hadn't been announced or confirmed yet into it. Take this news with a heavy grain or two of salt however. Still, we can consider this at least quasi-confirmation of potential future figures for the line. Especially since the one that revealed it was an official website and not a fan site. Most of them have been removed from the list, but someone was able to snag the full details. Note that not all of these are likely Marvel Legends, some may be Spider-Man Classics.
Future Figures Revealed:
Maestro Hulk
2009 Daredevil
2099 Spiderman
Annihlus
Astonishing X-Men Wolverine
Beta Ray Bill Thor
Bishop
Blackheart
Captain Marvel
Classic Captain Marvel (variant)
Falcon
Iron Fist
Lady Deathstrike
Loki
LongShot
Manwolf
Powerman
Psylocke
Sasquach
Spider-Woman
Super Skull
The Blob
Wendigo
X-23

Why? Cause she's popular and she'll sell. Plus she fills a 'Wolverine' spot, meaning instead of 2 Wolverines, we get a Wolverine and X-23. :D

I don't know if I like X-23 that much but her mini has been good so far and NYX was good. I have liked a few of her spots in Uncanny not all. So, I guess you can say I like her just not the idea of her.

I really don't care for her in UXM. But I was liking her in NYX. And I really wish they would have just left her there for a while ( even though the book is hiding somewhere underneath one of those covers Quesada has been putting out....probably slightly above DD: Father #2 which also has a cover done.). I liked X-23 there...though I don't get the name. I have they even addressed the fact that she was a prostitute in UXM.

I'm sick of Wolverine figures so if she did take one of his places I'd be happy. Although I do think we should see Kitty etc. before her.

She was the 23rd attempt to clone Wolverine. It was the first time they tried to X chromosone (sp?) instead of the Y and it worked... making a female. Hence X-23.

Psylocke

I work in a toy store. Believe me, Marvel Legends sell FAST. Sometimes people are there when we open the doors on days we get a shipment and Marvel Legends are the first things to go. Sometimes they last merely minutes.
I rarely ever see them in stores like Target or WalMart. The place they're supposed to be is always empty.

yeah, in the few months before series 9 came out in my area, the target i usually go to was sold out the entire time. including during a sale on them. yay, a sale on an empty rack.
but anyways, a few weeks back i was on a little trip. i was out in the middle of west bubba, like the middle of nowhere wyoming, south dakota, etc. i went into some walmarts out there and they were loaded with them. older sets too, like series 3-7. none of the real rare ones though. i didnt get any because i didnt really want to carry them around with me.
if you really want to get your hands on some without paying ebay prices, i suggest you take a drive out into the sticks and see if you can find some out there. like right now i live in pittsburgh, but i may be moving to b-more soon for a job, i have an interview down there in a few weeks. i figure on my way back, ill swing through w. virginia and hit up some walmarts/targets in small towns to see if i can get lucky.

i usually buy mine at the target in the waterfront, i went there today and they had all of series 9. i've been to that toysrus near century 3 and they had next to nothing each time. i think its a moot point now though. in series 9 it seems like there arent really any chase figures, i think theyre only making the variants chase now. im not sure about that, but im just going by the fact that every time i've been to my target theyve usually had the entire set.

Yeah variants now are just diffrent paint/head sculpts so people dont have to freak out about not getting a diffrent character (Red skull goliath)
Also now anymore I just order a case of ML so I'm guranteed to get the whole wave + any extras I can sell on ebay because ordering through dealers tend to get to you faster then waiting for retail.

Toy Biz didn't have much about Marvel Legends 12 up at Comic Con, but what they did have is great. They only revealed one figure from the series, Iron Fist. But they're doing another build-a-figure for Series 12. And it's a massive version of the Marvel Legends Apocalypse. The figure of course represents the fact that Pocy can increase his mass and size. You can see Iron Fist and Mega-Pocy along with the complted versions of ML10, ML11, and some Spider-Man Classic figures at the following links. :)

More Hulk and Wolverine. Oh joy.

Notes
-Spider-Man has small eyes to match his first appearance
-I dunno if it just me but the webbing seemed better on Sinister Six.
-Black Panthers cape makes him fall backwards. Thats why I have him in the jumping post
-Everyone in the set comes with the see threw stands like that came with Deadpool.
-I dunno if its just my set but the legs seem messed up. Both my Spider-Man and Angel have two left shins and I think my Mystique may have two right ones. Lukily apart from Angel its hard to notice
-The Sentinel and Omega Red both come with two bendy removable tentacles (although the Sentinels are longer)
Any other Qs and pic requests let me know.
Now to begin how I'll pose my Marvel Legends shelf now

Hot dam! The Sentinel is even taller than the Big G!
I might pick up Sinister depending how he looks upfront.
So does the tenticles for the Sentinel detachable? Cause I might not even use that. Don't like the looks of it.
I want to build an army of Sentinels. Possiblly four or five of them.
I have yet to see the Sentinel series in stores but maybe that's cause Crimson's in the UK.

I really wish they would just sell the Sentinel seperately. Though i do plan on getting a few of them, I don't want to get ALL of them, but I do want that Sentinel. Just like with Galactus, I am pissed that I was forced to get Deathlock just to have him complete. It's bogus.
Not to mention that I think the quality of the toys have really gone down. But I am glad they come with the clear stands(though whether they actually work or not is debatable). War Machine's is completely useless because he's so heavy.
My friend has a Captain America with two left hands. I don't know why but I think it's hilarious.

Yeah, it still isn't known if this is true, but that site originally posted leaked (or made up) lists of waves 12 and 13 -- and X-23 was in the wave 12 list. Low blow...and inappropriate.
If the Scarlet Witch screw up was ML's biggest problem, I wouldn't have complained.
The female figures are virtually impossible to find on the shelves. Only figure I've seen is Storm...and she had a neck that was too long.
I bought Black Widow off of ebay -- and she has a horrible neck...it's not too long, but it has a big slit in it.
Admittedly, the Phoenix figure is great, but I had to buy if off of ebay also -- along with Hawkeye and Juggernaut who never arrived in my area.
No complaints about the Galactus series. This is the first series that I've seen all of the figures in abundant supply -- even Deathlok.
Sorry if you my criticism of ML ruffles you feathers, but I call em like I see em. If you're happy with the line good for you. You must have low standard is you think it's the greatest line though.

Meh, I was underwhelmed by Agent X. If I was going to vote for anything Wade related, it would be the issue where Deadpool got stuck in an old issue of Amazing Spider-Man. Although, I might vote for the fight between Wade and Alex for best fight, if they show Wade spelling out messages to Weasel in Alex's intestines.
Besides, this is like our one shot ever to get Great Lakes Avengers action figures.

Enh... much as I love Alex, if I see him before I see Longshot (and having already had a Deadpool figure) in Marvel Legends, I'm just gonna plotz. And that really ain't pretty.

Somewhere between slim to none I reckon. :D
Also, from the same title, one on the best (and certainly most unique) fights in recent years was The Orphan vs. Iron Man, or rather Guy Smith vs. Tony Stark. However, I very much doubt that Marvel Legends would want to make 2 naked super-hero figures! :p

The setup for ML13 looks like this:

Looks like only Pyro and Green Goblin are in the finished sculpt stage. The cool thing about this line, is that instead of some base for them to stand on, or a piece of a larger figure, they each come with lackeys of some big villain group. There's Skrulls, the Brood, AIM agents, Hydra agents, Hand ninjas, Hellfire Club soldiers, and what looks like a Kree Soldier.

Made some Target/Walmart runs last night. just bought the entire wave of Sentinal figures. Hated to have to do it becuase I didn't really want Cyclops or Spider-man, but that's a kick-butt Sentinal! In a way I'm glad I liked most of the figures this time around. Black Panther and Mr. Sinister totally rock!
That said, I've just really started collecting ML and with this wave have doubled my collection. As an added bonus I found a Jean Grey Phoenix (green version) at one of the Wal-Marts. Not sure how the heck that happened, but I'm not complaining.
Just my two cents. Too bad about the Scarlet Witch. I'll have to get the whole wave regardless because I'm an Apocolypse freak.
I'd post pictures but I don't know how. Just rejoice in the fact that these are now hitting shelves and seemed rather abundant. Take a look at what Jesse said recently (the guy that heads up the ML department).
"Here's' my 2 cents on everyone else's 2 cents.
"F&^k" whoever posted those boards on line in the first place. I don't care who it was I really don't care who did it but understand what position that puts us in. That's just my knee jerk, not as an employee of TB, but just as me witch is why I like to post here I can be myself and not have to be a suit. Your seeing things that aren't finished and I hate that, I'm really not blaming anyone here because those images are all over the net right now and It would be pointless to ask people to take them down. I'm pissed because we clearly designed those boards for use in sales meetings only and there not meant to be seen by the public for a reason. 1) They look like crap, 2) We haven't announced that the is the final direction for the line, & 3) A lot of things have changed since then.
What's changed?
A lot of what your looking at for 13 is incorrect. i.e. Crimson Dynamo = Gone.
Also ML 13 will not have side kicks. So I'm reading all of the hoopla over how much everyone loves this idea but the truth is it aint gonna happen! Now, if it were like 2 years ago, hell even an year ago we could have probably made it work. But now...Not with the world the way it is today and for the foreseeable future. But in my mind believe it or not this ends up being a win/win situation, here's why. The process of costing this assortment went thought a 4 month process, witch is like 4 times longer than usual. We went through several cost cutting measures witch ended up in the sidekicks going from 6" and 11 POA to being 5" and having 3 points of articulation ...and they still wouldn't cost out. Witch in a lot of ways I was happy about because it would have just been poop if we made them like that. So now ML 13 has a different pack in. witch your all going to poop over and have to wait till toyfair to see ( or at least until some on line jerk off posts it on there site to get more traffic).
So what about the Grunts you say? Where will they go? Who will feed them? Well.... truth be told as this line was shaping up ( or down as it may be) I was thinking of another away around this problem and what I came up with - in my mind - is actually BETTER than doing all of these guys as pack in's. Why? well I can't tell you until I've sold this idea to 2 more people and it's a reality and not just an idea. Once that's done you will know. And in a way, having 33 pages of jubilant text on this idea in 2 days actually helps my cause.
So all in all I guess this isn't so bad, but just to be sure f&*k you guys anyway.
Oh and P.S. I found this funny and you might as well. Just so that you all understand that it is nigh ( yes Nigh!) Impossible to make everyone happy at the same time... I thought it was very funny to read that people were pissed that the Maestro had no fallen hero armor witch was NEVER in the comic. That armor was something we created with the first Hulk classic line, but when WE design an Ultron, a character that has looked different every single time it's appeared in the comic it's fu$%&*ing heresy! GREAT!!!! Oh, and before you go any further it was MY decision to do Loki in the suit he wears in the Loki mini series VS the spandex outfit he wore in the 60's , why? because I think it's cooler. And gues what? I'm right.
Jin = We did make the holster change to the Bishop that's an early picture. As for Blackheart...I love the sculpt the way it is and yes it has a tail.
Please don't bother following this up with a bunch of "hey Jesse" questions as this is the last thing I'm going to post for a while.
~ Kisses ~"

Well, I've been looking forward to this series -- because the preview pics of the Sentinel robot are so cool -- and there are 3 classic X-Men figures included -- Cyclops, Angel, and Mystique.
I've been visiting Wal-Mart weekly to see if any have arrived, but nothing yet. Stopped at the Toys R Us yesterday, and they did have one figure -- Black Panther. I've neve been crazy about this Marvel Knights version with all the bling, so that is a strike against this figure to begin with. However, the sculpt really turned me off. The figure looks puffy -- almost like a shrunken head kind of effect. I'm afraid this will also be the case with Wonder Man in the next series -- because the preview pics had him looking over-veined (in a bad 90s Image Comics style kind of way).
Hopefully, the X-Men figures will be better. Probably won't bother trying to get all the Sentinel pieces. Guess I can hope that the figure will be sold separately some time in the future.
Anyone else come across any of these figures?
Beast
10-24-2005, 10:09 AM
Black Panther actually isn't that bad. And even better, it comes with the Avengers issue that recounts his canon origins, instead of the crappy Reggie Hudlin version. A definate plus when it comes to that.
I myself ordered a case from my local comic shop, ended up with a variant case. Which was great for me, considering I wanted the variants of Angel and Cyclops. All of the figures are pretty good, the worst one being Spider-Man. Mr. Sinister is the best of the bunch though. He's huge and the cape is sweet. :)
And I'd definatly recommend getting each of the figures and building the Sentinel. Since all the figures are X-Men centric except for Spider-Man and Black Panther, it's really worth it if you're an X-Men fan. The Sentinel is huge, and very nicely detailed. Can't wait for the big Apocalypse.

I usually make a weekly trip to my local Walmart as well and they are still stacked with the Galactus Series.

I picked up all the figures in this series except for Mystique at Wal-mart. I was a bit hesitant about Black Panther initially, but it really is a nice figure, one of the better in the entire legends roster. Sinister and Omega Red are the best of the bunch and Angel is worth it just for the wings. I agree with Beast that Spidey is the worst of the group. The sentinal is amazing.

Well, maybe I'll get him eventually. Actually, the Avengers issue included is bewildering as the figure is clearly the MK version. I would have loved a simpliefied classic version (without all of the puffiness).
I think the store also had Spider-Man. I don't even know why he is in this series!! Since Marvel asked if the build-a figures should be included at a future time, I'll probably only buy the figures I want from this line and hope that a Sentinel is solicted separately in the future. I'm pretty certain it will happen -- and I can wait.

Being a big fan of Marvel Legends, it's cool to see the early retailer lists that come out before everything is final. It appears that Toy Biz isn't even waiting for Toy Fair before spilling the seeds of what's possibly in store for late 2006. I can't say I'm likely to get many of these, considering I just collect X-Men. But otherwise, there's some great figures coming for Marvel fans. Just for S&G's. Hopefully they'll pull one figure out other than Longshot and Psylocke and put in Spiral as well. Only makes sense, given Mojo. :D

I just need a She-Hulk and a Hank Pym BAF, then they could cancel the line and I'd be satisfied.
They're selling She-Hulks at WW Texas.

An ML-articulated She-Hulk. One that you can pose without the car and doesn't look like it's a waitress with an invisible tray giving you the thumbs up.

I gotta get me a Jess Spider-Woman. And I think you're right Thik, about one being Jess and one being Julia. That's a decent idea.

Hey, it's not my fault if the info turns out to be false. Though I hope it's true. Still odd that we're getting Longshot before we ever get a Havok. :(

AWESOME! With the exception of all those damn Iron Man's, I'm excited about all of those.
I love getting new Avengers' figures. Wasp, Moon Knight, Quicksilver, Cage, Falcon. Beta Ray Bill and Captain Marvel should fit in nicely too. And I hope the two Spider-Woman's are a Drew version and a Carpenter verion. Two bird with one stone.
Couple more waves and my shelf will look like a George Perez-Avengers cover!

in general i agree they make too many iron mans (thor buster...wtf?). but c'mon...the original grey and gold tank armors? that's awesome, and different enough from the previous toys they made to warrant their inclusion.
they should make them inacticulate as hell too. no knee or elbow joints.

Marvel Legends 15 (Estimated Arrival: Nov 06)
Mandarin - Neat.
Beta Ray Bill - I have one from the Silver Surfer line, but cool nonetheless.
Moon Knight - Yes!
Spider-Woman - Yes! Yes! Yes!
Quicksilver - Another one I've been waiting for. Rock on, Son of M.
Thor-Buster Iron Man - Meh.
Wasp - The most boring Marvel heroine is now the most boring Marvel Legend.

Didn't they say at one point that they weren't going to do any more variants of unique characters, just different costumes? Or have they abandoned that idea since then?

That's a great lineup right there. I'm curious as to how Luke Cage will look but it looks like I'll be buying all of them.
