Disco Dazzler... DISCO DAZZLER!!!!
That would be such a hot action figure. :) I can't believe they'd make LONGSHOT a Marvel Legend before Dazzler -- of course, Marvel does have a thing against its women.

I remember they made one once awhile back in some line called She-Force or something. I think ali had snap on rollerblades. It's been forerver since I saw that figure on EBay...

Baron Zemo! Finally, after 13 series, we get our first official Thunderbolt. Sure, we got Hawkeye, and technically Zemo's an Avengers villain, but he's the guy that founded the T-Bolts. Thank you Toy Biz! Nearly all of my must-haves will be fulfilled after series 15. I just need a She-Hulk and a Hank Pym BAF, then they could cancel the line and I'd be satisfied.
Technically we got a Beetle (II) in the Spider-Man classic line that fits in perfectly with Marvel Legends, so that would be the second T-Bolt after Hawkeye (well technically Redeemer, but you know what i mean)

Finally, looks like we're getting more classic figures (still not enough female figures though...don't understand why. Seems they always sell-out).
From 14, I'm most excited about Luke Cage, but only if it's classic costume (yellow shirt, chain belt, etc.). Simply have no interest in the current lackluster outfit he sports.
Falcon -- possibly. Never a big fan, but he is a classic and short-time Avenger. Again, this would have to be the classic 70s costume.
Psylocke -- maybe. Depends on the sculpt. Not one of my favorite characters.
Series 15 is more to my liking.
Definites are Moon Knight, Spider-Woman, Quicksilver, Captain Marvel (if it's 70s version, but I'd also buy an Avengers Forever variant), Wasp (isn't a full-sized version of she and Yellowjacket overdue?). I could see myself buying all the variants, if I can find them.
Beta Ray Bill is a cool idea. I'll have to see the figure before I decide.
Now how about some classic Defenders (Nighthawk, Valkyrie, Hellcat with Cat variant), a better-sculpted Silver Surfer?
Also, more classic X-Men, 60s blue/red costume Beast, 60s Marvel Girl, 60s or 70s Polaris, classic Havok, Banshee, Dazzler, Sunfire, Thunderbird, classic White Queen).
More Avengers! Build a Clint Barton Goliath or Hank Pym Giant-Man, full sized Wasp and Yellowjacket, Ms. Marvel, Quasar, Black Knight, classic Black Panther, classic First Appearance Wonder Man, Tigra, Moondragon, classic Ultron, Kang, etc.
And some random 70s heroes like Doc Samson, Black Goliath, Thundra, Nova, Warlock, Son of Satan, Satana, Starhawk, etc.

Being a big fan of Marvel Legends, it's cool to see the early retailer lists that come out before everything is final. It appears that Toy Biz isn't even waiting for Toy Fair before spilling the seeds of what's possibly in store for late 2006. I can't say I'm likely to get many of these, considering I just collect X-Men. But otherwise, there's some great figures coming for Marvel fans. No news on pack-ins, but there's some juicy stuff on the way. Remember that these lists are expected to change quite a bit as we get closer to Toy Fair. :)

Well lets go back to that time when they were selling Cable, Deadpool, Jean and alot of good people. It was a rush to buy it before they ran out. I've been lucky to get mine in but my other friends who order them only got Colossus and Cable. I was wondering if anybody else had this problem just so my friends know that they didn't get gyped or something else.

In the latest Toyfare, it was revealed that next year's figure will most likely be classic Luke Cage/Powerman in his 70s gear.
YES!!!!
I don't mind that he dresses like a thug rapper in New Avengers, but I wouldn't support a figure of him in that get up.

I was really looking forward to getting closer to having my New Avengers pose... oh well, this will look cool with Iron Fist.
I still say Marvel and Toybiz should do better at marketing their products together. Launching a New Avengers Figure Boxset a few months after NA #1 would of been a smart move for both companys. What's hot now may not be in next year.

Make it a removable tiara, and Dammit that new Avengers box has me drooling. I think that Toyfare and Toy biz should use existing Legends sculpts to make "new" characters, similar to what they did in the begining of Toyfare with Molten Man, Wonder man, and Morph from AoA. Imagine what they could do with old Legends bodies and new head sculpts!! This is a goldmine waiting to happen.. I'm e-mailing toyfare right now!!!

I definitely agree that doing boxed sets would be much better since you get an all in one package without having to go from one fig to the other in the "To make a Legend list". Plus is satisfies us comic fans in getting great figures of teams we want to see badly.
As for the Luke Cage action figure, I guess the classic yellow outfit one is ok but I'd prefer a NA version, preferably the one he had in the Amazing Spiderman books and the collage cover.

It's not that I don't like that costume, it definitely works with the Iron Fist figure as far as iconic looks go but I'm just eager to make my own New Avengers team with all the recent costumes since it looks like we won't be getting a boxed set.

I am a huge Marvel Legends collector so I'm real happy that Cage will be in his 70's gear. We already have a 70's Iron Fist so for him to be without a partner wouldn't make much sense. Besides, if Cage was just going to be a built guy in street clothes, he might as well be a wrestling figure. The tiara and the yellow shirt are the way to go.

It would be extremely difficult to do a NA variant of Luke if they go with the 70s look. It would take much more than a repaint and a different head to differentiate the two.
One thing is for sure, the classic costume figure will stand out. The NA version -- not so much. I think his NA look needs redefined a bit. Maybe after that, they can do that version of him.

Apologies if this has already been posted (didn't see it), but it would appear the Onslaught build-a-figure is officially a go, instead of the "evil henchmen" idea that was being kicked around. Blah.

Since I was only planning on getting half the series anyway, guess I can just save the Onslaught parts and trade them for Mojo ones when series 14 drops. *sigh*... gonna be a looooooooong wait.

Hah, yeah.
Anyway I dig an Onslaught build a figure. He actually has a very cool design but the event just seems like a tainted part of the X-universe to alot of people I suppose. BTW has there been a collected edition of all the Onslaught issues ala AOA yet?

No, he isn't, which is what I'm wondering about. Either the pieces of his exoskeleton will just be comparatively smaller than the ones we've seen for the other build-a-figures, or he'll be out of proportion. We'll see.

A little bit of new news in regard to Marvel Legends 14 from the UK Toy Fair. The Build-A-Figure will be Mojo. In addition each figure in the set will include a 1" to 2" non-articulated X-Babies figure. Each figure will come with a specific baby, but to add a bit of suckyness, the plan now is to put a different baby in both the Iron Man and Iron Man (Variant) packages. :(
kcekada

Don't care for either Mojor or X-Babies -- so it doesn't matter what they include.
As always, I'll just buy the figures I want -- even if it means having an incomplete Galactus and Sentinel.
Is Mojo really more popular than Giant-Man/Goliath?!!!

-Psylocke - Cool, finally a female X-Man that hopefully won't look like crap

-Beta Ray Bill - AWESOME!!!!! I can't wait for this one!

So, I decide to go on ebay to see if there are any loose complete build a sentinels available (since I'm more interested in the Sentinel itself than any of the figures in the set that come with Sentinel bits).
The Good news is, I did find a few available.
The Bad news is, they're expensive.
I wonder if Toy Biz (or soon to be Hasbro) have thought about selling/doing an offer for complete build-a-figs like the Sentinel, or Galactus (or other upcoming figures of that nature)?

This Wal-Mart line has me concerned.
First, there has been no official announcement from Toybiz or any action figure site regarding this series.
Secondly, it has the best line-up of figures -- ever! If it's just a rumor, many of us will be pissed.
Thirdly, I did find a site where you can pre-order the exclusive set -- and it's already sold out!!!
What's the deal? Even though there are a handful of figures in that set I wouldn't want, I'd order the entire case just to get those that I do (and sell the rest on ebay).

They've been out for a month or 2, so they should be relatively easy to get. They were for me.
Now it's the Apocalypse series that is hot and hard to find.

Nothin for nothin, but where are you guys getting your info? I had heard that Marvel took their action figure license away from Toy Biz (the Co. that ownes Marvel) & gave it to Hasbro <aka has-been>. The reason cited being that Marvel wanted to seperated themselves from the volatile toy market. Not saying that anyones wrong, just wondering is all.

There are basically 2 Toy Biz companies. One (the part that Marvel owns) designs the toys, the other produces and distributes them.
The second part is the one that Marvel gave the contract to Hasbro for. They'll retain all their designers, but outsource the production.

It's so sad, I've picked up almost every single figure in series 12. All I'm missing is X-23. Normally, I wouldn't buy an X-23 figure (or a lot of the other figures) but I really want to put together the big Apocalypse.

Though that's supposedly going to change. Hasbro's handling distribution for 2006, but 2007 they are supposedly going to take over the line totally. So we'll see when we start hearing about 2007. :)

I bought six of the seven figures for the Sentinel series yesterday, opting for Omega Red over Mystique, since I plan in giving most of the figures to a younger cousin.
I got to say, the Sentinel is VERY impressive. I also saw Maestro, Iron Fist, and Sasquatch, but I just wanted the Sentinel parts. I may pick up Apocalypse if I see all the figures together, or I can get all the parts to him seperately.

Hasbro's pretty good at staying comic accurate. And they know how detail and articulation counts, look at Star Wars. Remember it's Mattel that turned the Batman franchise into a real utter joke.

I just did some searchinf around the internet. Nothing is know for sure, but it looks like Marvel Legends will come to an end after Has-been takes over. Whats already in the works will be made & shipped. Afterwards, rumors are that the Marvel line will shrink to a Star Wars/Justice League scale figure.
The 1st Hasbro Marvel figures on slate are the Spider-man3 movie figs in Jan 2K7. :(

That's mostly speculation at the moment. And Star Wars and Justice League are two totally different scales. The only reason Star Wars is still 3 3/4", is due to the vehicles. I wouldn't jump to conclusions yet. :)

Some news on ML 13 and ML 14:
Marvel Legends 13 and 14 pack-ins have been announced, and...
...looks like it's Phase Two Onslaught (AKA "Death-Mask Onslaught") that will be the Build-A-Figure for Wave 13.
Meanwhile, Wave 14 will bring us not only Mojo as the Build-A-Figure, but also pack-ins of the X-Babies and Mighty 'Vengers:
1st Appearance Daredevil comes with Wolvie/Shadow Kitty, Cage with Creepy Crawler, Falcon with Captain Amerikid/Iron Man, Psylocke with Thunderstorm, Longshot with Shower, and Baron Zemo with Colossus.
Looks like it'll be a bumper crop...

One of the stores in my area (western PA) must have just received the Apocalypse figures. They had Iron Fist (bought him), X-23 (no thanks!), and Sasquatch (tempted, but I'll hold off for now). X-23 has the head of Apocalypse -- so she shouldn't be as hard to find as most female figures.

I just got the complete Sentinel series for $80.00, including shipping, which, as I look at the prices the local comic shop would have charged me, I saved about 15-25$ at least by buying on eBay. Maybe the prices are higher here, I dunno. I know they're a fair sight cheaper at Wal-Mart, but no way does the local store carry much of anything. Will Wal-Mart buy a set if you ask them to?
Also, the guy I bought from shipped VERY fast. I mean, I bought the series on Tuesday, and they arrived on Thursday.

I think a Quasar figure is realistically possible -- if Marvel Legends continues.
There are so many classic figures that need to be get made, and the ML line is slowly moving towards making it happen. I'd like to see all of the cosmic heroes eventually -- especially Adam Warlock
I think every series should include at least one X-Men-related and one Avengers-related figure. Quasar is definitely Avengers-related.

I have a ton of trouble getting my build a figure Apocalypse to stand up. He tends to take random shelf dives and knock a bunch of my other legends down. Quite irritating. As far as the villains series I was pretty much sold on it except for Abomination. I am gunna have to pick him up though because of Onslaught. Much the same with the Mojo series. Wasn't entirely interested in Falcon and was undecided as far as Luke Cage. Don't even know how thrilled I am about Mojo. I must say that I am extremely excited for the 1st appearance Iron Man. I am looking forward to Mandarin, Beta Ray Bill, and Wasp too. Also really excited for Quicksilver. The Wal-Mart set makes me happy and sad at the same time. While the lineup of characters makes me drool the thought of stepping foot in my local Wal-Mart for what will more than likely be multiple visits irritates me to no end. I don't know about you guys but the one in my town attracts the worts type of filth. Its a terrible stinkhole. That is gunna be a series I am totally and utterly satisfied with. Goliath and Giant Man sorely deserve the attention. Also the Age of Apocalypse finally gets some coverage in the way of Sabertooth and Wolverine. It warms my heart. Finally a Havok too. Sentry warms my heart as well.

I don't see what one has to do with the other. Wal Mart doesn't sell comics, and Wal Mart will be selling the 2 gay figures in the Young Avengers box set. Toy Biz is essentially doing Wal Mart a favor by creating an exclusive series for them, why would they allow Wal Mart's corporate policy (assuming there is one) to influence their publishing arm? Especially when they don't owe Wal Mart anything. They could certainly make a lot more money by making this series availible to ALL major toy retailers.
You're looking for a conspiricy where there is none. In all likelyhood, the whole gay thing came down from the shareholders.

Apparently, the figures that have been found in Kansas are a complete fluke. They are unfinished figures slated for a meeting that somehow ended up on the pegs. Hence the odd slections in comics that they are packaged with. They won't be available to the masses until later this year. This does take some of the thunder out of the planned reveal for Sunday at Toy Fair.

Meh. I would've rather seen the henchman figures as bonuses instead of Onslaught.
In the interview with Jesse Falcon accompanying those pics, he said that it just wasn't going to be cost-effective, essentially doubling the amount of plastic each figure uses, plus that to construct an army of AIM soldiers, you'd have to buy 50 Lokis. Meh. I would've rather seen the henchman figures as bonuses instead of Onslaught.
They're going to get to those eventually but Jesse makes a good point that the army builders would basically force you to buy extra regular figures (like 2 Loki's or something) that you wouldn't want.
Most probably I can see them two-packing 2 different sets of goons like AIM and Hydra agent.
Edit- D'oh, Lucky One beat me to it but I loooooooove that Onslaught figure. It makes me wish he came back in the regular MU again.

That said, it looks like a large portion of my bank account will be devoted toward Marvel Legends this year. The Captain Britain and Thor look fantastic!
Thanks for the info, Rassputin. Still nice to see what's coming. :D

I recently made a list of 100 marvel characters and about 70 dc(still making that list) that I want figures of whether they exist or not, I was thinking of going to the dollar store to get a bunch of figures to turn into aim, hydra, shield and the hand figures, but if they are going to do that for me, it will be pretty cool.

Yikes! Now that's a lot of figs coming our way. Most of them look nice, but the whole Villains line is my favorite here. They look well done in both sculpt and paint job. Only complaint from me is Goblin's face mask looks a little too light, compared to his other green. I wasn't planning on building myself an Onslaught figure but those pics look dam good. Consider himself built!
And I love the idea of 2 packs. The villains seem to look better than their counterparts in this line.
House of M? Didn't care much for the storyline. Pass.
Fantastic Four Classics? Dragon Man. Maybe, just maybe I might pick up. I like how the Thing is based off of Mike Wieringo's design.
Fantastic Four Animated? Definitely passing on this one.
Spider-Man Classics? Hobgoblin, Electro, and Shocker are keepers.
X-Men line? I passed on the first Colossus and will be picking this one up to make up for it. Iceman looks interesting. So does the Sentinel. What size is it?
12 Inch Marvel Icons? Haven't made up my mind yet but the Hulk looks like he's based off of an Art Adams design drawing.
Mojo line? Some gems here like Power Man, Falcon, and Longshot. By the way, why is Longshot's belt area blue/teal? Is it supposed to be that color?
Wal-Mart Exclusives? Nice enough looking line. Giant Man looks great!
Modok line? All the figures look really good, especially Beta Ray Bill. At least Moon Knight looks better than his Marvel Select version. That one looks atrocious.

I am seriously digging that House of M box set. The Inhuman Torch and the It look phenominal. That and there is that House of M Wolverine in the X-Men series too. The 2-packs look great too especially Sabertooth, Mandarin, and Red Skull. Now I am even more sold on that villains series. Blackheart looks awesome. Psyloke and Classic Iron man look great too. I am assuming that Mojo and Modok are going to be smaller than previous build a figure offerings. Finally some Age of Apocalypse offerings as well. Hydroman, Toxin, and Shocker are gunna be ones that I definately pick up. The Ultimate Iceman, Nightcrawler, Magneto, and Sabertooth look great too. Finaly some more mainstream Ultimate X-men figures. Avalanche and Rogue look well done. I don't know about that Juggernaut though.
Is that the first Fantastic Four classics assortment, or is there one that I missed before?

Here is a link showing ToyBiz's US Toyfair display. Some real bright spots are...
- Marvel Icons: $15 for a large Marvel Legend figure. Very detailed and amazing looking. Doesn't appear to be a rotocast figure either.
- Marvel Legends: Some great builds after what I thought was the aweful Riders collection. The new two packs actually have some good figures, mainly to get the villans. Leader, Kingpin (FINALLY), Sabertooth, Puzzleface (in Punisher costume), Red Skull.
- Spider-man: Impresses with its villian figures. Electro, Hobgoblin, Jack O Lantern... still wondering why there is no Black Cat. But there is a new 12" Rotocast Daredevil figure that looked good.
- X-men: Some nice scuplts but stupid designs too. I hate the redesigning for all of these figures. Avalanche looked good. Rouge, Iceman and Nightcrawler looked good too.
- Fantastic Four: This whole line was suprisingly good but too bad it is limited till the cartoon comes out. All quality here though. The cartoon figures are not bad, I kinda like some of the artistic design especially on Thing & Hulk... problem is the goofy costumes.
I'm so happy I could dance. Perhaps I will. Hold on a second...
OK, I'm back - I'm going to have to build yet another shelf in my display room.

Well in defense of these Wal-Mart employees, if they are not the manager of the toy department then there is very little chance that they would know when it would come out and still little chance that the dept. manager would know. It works more like when the warehouse gets the toys then they will send them but not before they have pushed out all of the older series that are taking up space in their warehouse. So while the toys may make it to the warehouse in time to be shipped to the stores by May 15 they won't make it until after the warehouse gets rid of the older series.
Also there are way to many lines of toys at Wal-Mart for one person to know when each new version comes out. Between Hot Wheels, Star Wars, DC Toys, and etc. it would be very difficult to know when they all come out. Plus Wal-Mart doesn't want to give any definite dates for items to come out because if they do and we don't get them everyone will get upset and lets face it Wal-Mart has enough people mad at them. The only thing that will probably come out on its release date is Movies, Games, Music and Magazines.

It ain't Toy Biz anymore. It's the newly-renamed "Marvel Toys" that's handling the production and distribution all this year, until Hasbro takes over the Marvel License next year.
Distribution may end up being better....may end up being worse. It's hard to say at this point. But I'm going to bet on "worse".

There's no duplicate pieces, as far as I can tell. You need to get each figure in the set (9 figures - 9 pieces) and then the variant AoA Wolverine for the 10th piece.
Its beyond lame.
I figure I'll just wait til SDCC and get an assembled Giant-Man on his own.

Because Wal-Mart is a major retailer and are paying big bucks to have an exclusive series. It's also an open order item, that Wal-Mart can decide to re-order more if they want. And trust me, it's not low distribution. Besides, Wal-Mart is one of the mega retailers, so this makes their stock owners happy. :)

While I understand that Wal-Mart can do it by simply paying them for these exclusive figures people have still been telling me how they can never find them anyway so there's got to be something wrong with their distribution unless there's alot more coming. One can't even order them online from their website, ugh.
Plus it sucks for us NY people cuz there aren't any near that I know of. I just hope that somehow I'm able to get them such as with Thor, Sentry, Captain Britain and Ms. Marvel. It's a cop-out for the people who wanted these figures for a long time. At the least I'm hoping that they distribute this as a boxed set somewhere in the future either by Toybiz or by Hasbro.

They divide the arms and legs into 2 pieces each, upper and lower. The head and the upper torso come attached, making one piece. 10 pieces total.
Huh I didn't know they split the arms. Must be a new thing.

It's only due to the number of the figures. They probably could have kept them together like they did with Apocalypse, but given the nature of the series they decided to break him up into more sections.

Ahhh ok, that makes sense.. I have seen some pictures of the figure, and the arms and legs didn't look like two pieces, guess that is what confused me.

It appears that was taken into consideration. The Wal-Mart nearest me usually only gets in one case at a time. Usually takes a couple of months before they replace one case. With the Giant-Man series, the same store received multiple cases. They had to stack the surplus on a different shelf.
I imagine the first shipments will sell-out quickly. The replacements shipments probably will last a bit longer. It may take all Summer, but eventually everyone who wants this series should be able to get it.

By the way, what is the comic packaged with Warbird.
I don't open my figures, so I have no idea. It looks like the alternate cover to one of the House of M issues. But it uses the Avengers logo -- and says King-Size annual. Is this an old Avengers Annual with a new cover?
