Congratulations on discovering one of the funniest individuals on this planet. His influence is profound and global. I have his box set, spanning his career from the mid-seventies to the early nineties, and I've collected his comedy specials singularly since.

Most will argue that he's no longer humorous, and is just an angry old man now, and they're probably half right, but there's no denying the impact he's made on comedy.

But he's still pretty funny. :)

Most will argue that he's no longer humorous, and is just an angry old man now, and they're probably half right, but there's no denying the impact he's made on comedy.
I think that's largely because of people lifting random angry rants from political blogs/forums and sending them all over the place under Carlin's name. He never wrote most of the "George Carlin is right" stuff people e-mail each other.
