Who's stoked for Faker?

I know I am, Jock is the man. I love his sequentials, and they are looking great so far on this series!

I don't really care if the story is good or not, I just love Jocks art, but it sounds like an interesting concept.

Yep - I love Jock, and I love Mike Carey, so this is definitely a must-buy. I've missed seeing Jock's work since Losers ended - he's one of the most dynamic and exciting artists around. It'll be interesting to see his work on this book, since it doesn't seem to be action-oriented, which is definitely Jock's strength.

Yeah, it's more horror or mystery than action, but from the pages I've seen, Jock will do just fine.

I'm glad that I found this thread. I was starting to worry I was the only who had picked this series up. The last issue was as as good as the rest (http://madbastard.hypersites.com/site/page/pg3393-pn_Faker_6.html). The conclusion bothered me at first, but it's lack of a definitive answer seemed to fit the story extremely well.

I love that book, but the art is not doing it for me, to be honest, not that I don't like it, but it's not something great. I love Carey's job on it though. Can't wait to get #6!

I went into this series not knowing anything more than the writer and artist, both of who are great at what they do, obviously. I wasn't expecting the science-fiction theme at all, but it worked. It seemed more like a vehicle for the emotional aspect of the story then an end to itself, and that was fine with me. Absolutely loved it.

I didn't expect the whole science fiction thing. When the first issue came, I thought it was just about college kids and stuff.

Im seriously loving this title, Carey can now make me pull his books purely by his work on this one. And they have some elite covers too!

You mean you loved the title, right? Anyway, I personally loved it. This was one of the better minis that I've read this year.

And yet another title that I apparently dropped to quickly.

It was a six issue miniseries. You should be able to find the back issues pretty easily.

I ended up disappointed.

I ended up disappointed.

I second that emotion. Thought the title started off very storng, but once...

... it was revelaed that Nick is just a creation molded from the Puke and memories of the others....

... I found it to be a cop out and fell really flat. Great artwork though and a great start.

I liked the idea behind Nick, and thought it was pretty neat. But I found it all fell apart when it got into the government conspiracy stuff. It felt kind of confused about whether it wanted to be a character-oriented story or an action one, and ended up doing neither terribly well.

Still a good book with some cool ideas, but it didn't come together the way it should have.

Mos Def.

Yes, I think the money I spent on it was worth it. I just wish it wouldn't have fluttered out.
