So WSU is loaded with some very memorable females. which one is your fav?

My personal fav is Voodoo. She's hot and has a lot of personality. and she got rid of the whole 'strippers are sluts' stereotype. Ivana is hot too, but if the stripper stereotype was true, Vana shoulda been a stripper.

Yeah, gotta be Voodoo...

Savant. I love the whole alien explorer/pulp hero angle. Personally, I think there are many facets of her character that deserve further exploration. For example, given the fact that she was a researcher who knew far more about human history then any other Kherubim, how was she possibly able to maintain a certain sense of innocence that always accomponied her adventures? Or, having seen our civilization develop over the millenia, how does she view the modern civilization? How does the fact that she remembers the time when Manhattan was a barren island affect her perception of the city? That sort of thing.

Even though it's not my favorite book or the best character, I gotta say Fairchild. My 16 year old self wouldn't forgive my 24 year old self if I didn't.

Though certainly Engineer and Jakita Wagner are also quite fine. Doesn't hurt that I like their books better.

I have to agree. While I absolutely love alan moore's take on voodoo as more of a gyspyesque girl who can certainly take care of herself, and that I think that take gave her more personality than the majority of characters in the wsu (even the popular ones), I have to go with Fairchild. Anyone who tosses Majestic around while elaborating on the pronounciation if Richard Wagner is it for me. I don't think anyone else in the WSU has even been represented to listen to classical music. Heck, her character is the reason I use cheezy 590's curse words in casual conversation rather than their more vulgar couterparts (and I seriously do).

uhm...i dunno if you're talking bout the Pop Star issue from, Majestic took some pretty heavy punches from Fairchild without even flinching

Zealot. She's one tough witch.

Now is that the word you really want to use?:D

I completely agree. Zealot is the bomb. I've been captivated with her the momment I saw her in the WC cartoon 11 years ago. She's always remained one of my top five favourite heroines. Arrogant, imperial, and demands the best from everyone but most of all herself. Even if she let's you know that you are not fit to kiss her shoes. She will help you if you need it. And she is willing to fight for those who cannot help themselves. She's a woman's woman all the way.

Miss Misery was cool. she was intelligent and a true badass. but the whole pain thing was kind of sick. so yeah

I always kinda thought of Miss Misery as a Bliss knockoff...Even though Brubaker didn't know much about the Bliss character. I just couldn't help it. The character was awesome but there were similarities between the two that were hard to overlook.

yeah, there really are a lot of similairities between Bliss and Misery. damn, never noticed it

Actually Misery is a close second for me. She was one of my favorite aspects of SLEEPER (man, I really miss that title). However, Fairchild was the only reason I followed GEN13. A redheaded version of DC's Power Girl in body and in mind a girl-next-door sweetheart, but with a brain. Yeah, I realize she's totally a wish-fulfillment fantasy, but it worked for me at the time. :D Misery, on the other hand, was a superb 'bad girl' and I liked her better than Bliss or other comics females who fit that same criteria. Pity we won't be seeing her again.

uhm...i dunno if you're talking bout the Pop Star issue from, Majestic took some pretty heavy punches from Fairchild without even flinchingI know, but the fact that she can even dish them out is cool enough. However, I think it's more the topic of conversation during that little rumble that is the coolest thing about it.

I also really like Sublime. She was a wonderful character.

I'd have said Voodoo, but Fairchild is a hot redhead.

And my personal code says: the redhead always wins.

unless the other girl plays a guitar. there's nothing cooler than a girl playing guitar.

how could we have forgotten about SUBLIME?? Bliss may have been the sassy one, and she was hella powerful, but Sublime's always been my fav DV8 girl. the first issue of DV8 showed us that she was nowhere near evil, she was just trying to survive.

now the only thing cooler than that is an all girl band the likes of Kitty or Hole. i wonder what a band of WSU girls would look like.
raaawrrrrrrrr.

09-17-2006, 07:03 PM
No. Kitty and Hole were both garbage. And Eric Erlandson is not a girl, so Hole really doesn't count.

What would be cool is an all girl band that didn't suck and get all it's exposure based on being an all girl band, but rather for being good.

Don't say Slater Kinneny, they were terrible.

oh, and this poll really should include more options, as I can't vote for my two.

I voted for Voodoo, to bad I could vote for the other girls that are my favorite. These are my favorite WSU girls that I find attractive.

1.) Voodoo, I bought the entire Wildcats (covert action teams) first series and when I saw Voodoo whereing that outfit at the dance club, I was just like oh my god. I was at a lost of words.

2.) Zealot, If you were going out with Zealot you wouldn't have to worry about someone else trying to pick up on her or trying to take her away by force, cause she will kick the living @#$#@ out of them. I wonder what she would look like in a dress.

3.) Void, Void's another one of the girls that are my favorite, I wonder if she always has to wear that silver outfit or if she can take it off any time she wants.

You'd be disappointed. There's nothing under there. She is named Void after all.

We'll just chalk Kitty up to taste and leave it at that.

If you want my vote for all girl bands, I'd rather listen to the Go-Go's or The Bangles, to be perfectly honest.

Don'r forget Rasputina, though I really only liked their first album.
