Good Morning and welcome to the future... a future filled with robotic bear suits you can download directly to your very own computer!

Slave Labor Graphics Conglomeration, Inc., the fine people that publish URSA MINORS!,the pop-culture/piss take mini-series I've birthed with Paul Cote and Fernando (TALES OF THE TMNT) Pinto, are now offering the very first amazing issue for the low, low price of $0.69!

The text from the SLG website reads as such:

Comic books in digital, downloadable format. Yes, so many people have been downloading comics for free, saying they would pay for them if someone would offer a service where you could buy them. Well, here is your chance, SLG Publishing's own digital comic book store. These files are all in .cbz format and YOU WILL NEED SOME SORT OF COMIC BOOK READER SOFTWARE IN ORDER TO VIEW THEM!!!!

SLG can recommend CDisplay (for windows users) or Comical (for MAC OS X users). Both are available as free downloads from their developers.

While we have used both, we do not warrant their ability to work on your individual systems and we highly recommend that you download and test the software BEFORE purchase any digital files from our site.

It seems that since this they have added PDF format... so give them both a try, download both formats and give one away to a lucky friend!

And once you're done reading, head to your local comic book shop and pick up issue #2, now on shelves, and preorder issue #3 - the Harry Potter/Animal House homage - by using the Diamond Order No. AUG062949

URSA MINORS! and downloadable comics - like Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. But with Bears.

Jen Contino of the Pulse got me all liquored up and interviewed me about the good robotic bears that populate URSA MINORS!:

http://www.comicon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi/ubb/get_topic/f/36/t/005593.html?

Head over and check out witty repartee such as:

THE PULSE: Are you taking any real life elements and adding the fantastic to them?

KLEID: Lady, the minute you take the words "robotic", "bear" and "suit" and put them in the same sentence you've pretty much entered the realm of the fantastic.[/i]

And Issue #4 is available for preorder!

It's that time again - what more do you need for the holiday season than a nice warm stocking filled with robotic bears and the final issue of URSA MINORS! from Slave Labor Graphics? Go against the grain this winter and crack open a cold one with Tom, Rich and Harry - Bears One, Two and Three - as they go out with pop culture insanity, Quantum Leap jokes, time travel mishaps and a healthy 'dose of the 'splode. Also in this issue: The Bling Ninja!
