"Angry's worked pretty good for me so far" - Hulk
Big Miek isn't as much fun as Little Miek. But I suppose it's a logical progression, given Hulk's influence on him.
This issue, Miek challenges Hulk to force him to fight the Red King instead of going off into the wilderness. Hulk isn't really keen on the idea, but, after he starts to lose his temper and almost smashes Korg, he agrees. So the Warbound splits up. Hiroim and Korg head off into the wastes to find a place to live in peace, and Hulk, Miek, Brood, and Elloe head back towards Crown City to challenge the Red King.
Thing is, pretty much as soon as they turn around, Caiera Oldstrong shows up. That's the Emperor's Shadow, if you weren't paying attention. She chats a bit with Hulk, telling him her origin story, and then challenges him to single combat. Baaaaad idea. Her initial attack is basically worthless, and he easily destroys her weapon. Then she breaks out her Old Power and punches the Hulk a good one in a very nice splash page.
Unfortunately for her, it's also basically worthless. Just as they're about to go another round, though, Hulk's little bit of spilled blood causes vines to sprout out of the ground. Caiera's troops see that and decide that maybe Hulk really is the Sakaarson. The Red King hears that over his communication system, and orders a weapon of last resort to be brought into play.
A missle plunges from the sky, and spews Spikes all over Caiera's troops. Spikes being a nasty form of parasitic organism that had almost destroyed Sakaar years before. There's a nifty two-page spread that shows just how nasty they are. So next issue is Hulk, Caiera, and Hulk's army against a legion of Spikes.
This issue was darn near perfect, to my mind. There was action, there was worldbuilding, there was drama, and there was (above all) smashing.
