That's Nightmaster, an attempt at creating a sword-and-sorcery superhero, first drawn by Jerry Grandenetti and then by Berni Wrightson, first appearing in DC's SHOWCASE No.'s 82, 83 and 84 back in the very late 1960s.

The character recently resurfaced in a team of supernatural/magical DC characters in...damn, I can't recall. 52, maybe?

He showed up in the Shadowpact group fighting the Spectre in Day of Vengeance mini that led up to Infinite Crisis, and I think they have a current Shadowpact mini. I was going to reply earlier, but I couldn't remember the guy's name.

I thought I'd just be up front and explain whats going on.. Every day my boss here posts pictures of comic book characters. I have a co worker who's very well blessed in knowing a lot of the characters but our boss has gotten good at picking the "unpopular" or "forgotten" characters to stump both of us...

but here's the one for today, if anyone knows this guy please let me know... (That is if you dont mind helping me out)...

Between now and then i'll be doing some in depth research to attempt to discover who he is...

I do have a question thats off the line of comics that maybe someone here can assist me with...

I am "attempting" to install yahoo messenger on a co worker's computer because we use it to communicate between buildings and also because i'm such a swell guy. Well the it dept here is blocking me from getting to their instalation site. I've gotten around it before obviously off of luck, would anyone have any tips out there.

I could send a ticket through IT, but itd be a while before they could get to it. Pluss i'm sure its nothing they really look forward to.

Does anyone know if the Green Lanter has an alternate title? What I'm looking for is something like Superman's "The Man of Steel". Most Comic heros have one, and I am stumped on Green Lantern. Anyone know?
