I meant to post this before and I need to reload one of the pics, it somehow ended up much smaller then the rest. These pics also come with a story. :D

So the first morning at Dragon I ignore the hangover (we got to the hotel and started drinking on Thur) and head down to the artist's alley. I make small talk with some people I like to consider friends and then move in for a sketch. I've been waiting for months to get Dan Brereton in the book and now is my chance.
We talk for a little bit, and settle on what is to be a two page color piece with Polychrome and the brainjar. We both laugh that my book is a little strange but he says, "At least you didn't want her in a hot top pouring chocolate sauce all over her". He's going to keep the book the over night and I'll pick it up in the morning.

Next morning arrives and Dan tells me he had some trouble with the brain since I didn't have any real references of one in my book. To get things flowing he started with this:

He then moved onto the picture of Poly. This is the one that I need to rescan cause its small.

Now, Dan wasn't happy with the way her face turned out. Crazy huh? Cause I love the look of disgust as she brains the Gunwitch. So on top of the picture he already did....he went to the next page and did this:

I'm standing in Artist Alley shocked and amazed at all this work and Dan is there telling me he still wasn't happy!! He did one more sketch!!

So there you have it. My sketches from Dragon. Dan completely floored me and I'm grateful for all he did in my book. Not only that, he was really cool to talk to everytime I had a chance to shoot the shit with him.
I'm already looking forward to FX so I can chat with him again.

Very nice! I'm always pleased to see another perfectionist artist at work. I agree with Dan that the last sketch is the keeper. Very nice and thanks for sharing the images!

How cool! Very nice of him to do the extra work! and you can see a comfort level as the drawings go on.

T: Theme books are usualy the most fun to draw in.

As much as I've gone to Dragon Con, I still havn't seen you there. I was there this year too. I bought a couple of Brereton's prints, infact.

Cool sketches.
His GunWitch character is one of my all-time favorites.
Nice score, Tequila!

I wanted to take that very picture of Scott when I met him there, but ran out of time. Glad someone took the opportunity and did it.
