is that the Wolverine from the Days of Future Past (Earth-811) reality that we all know and love (the same one that Rachel Grey/Phoenix III/Marvel Girl III is from)? I noticed that you didn't give a number for it in the story.

Yeah, he's given that designation later in the story, by a Time-Breaker bug. It's when the bugs are debating what to do. Hope that helps.

I just re-read it and saw it now. Thanks for pointing that out!!!

No problem! And for anyone wondering why he's alive, one explaination is that he was revived in the Paradise X Hearlds mini. Or it could be before he died or who knows?

My guess is that they took him the moment before he died, in the legendary scene that they show in his background of Colossus throwing him Fastball Special-style, and the Sentinel blasting the flesh off of his bones.
Of course, they just showed in Wolverine (vol.3) #44 (I think that's right) that he can withstand that.

Well, I guess that leaves even more questions for fans to pick at about Wolverines healing factor;)

I gotta tell ya, I don't get too fixated on which particular reality characters are drawn from. I'm more like, "Wouldn't it be fun to use that character from such-and-such a storyline?" and take it from there. This may frustrate some continuity purists, but my focus is just on telling a fun story. We can always come up with some explanation later. Hope that doesn't irk you too much!

Thanks, Tony. If you ever wonder, I actually have an Access database that is transforming into a version of the Marvel Handbook, that tracks appearances and realities, which is why I asked. If you have any questions on a character, feel free to PM me. I can keep a secret for the sake of a good story (which they have been).
Just curious: you may have addressed this question before, and I'm not trying to stir anything up, was it your decision to leave Exiles, or was it an Editorial decision? Don't get me wrong, I'm a Claremont fanatic. However, I've thoroughly enjoyed your stories, and, although I will miss the "true" Morph, it's been a fun ride.

Nah, I just like talking about it. It never bothers me, so long as it's good, and it's it's been better than good! Your a great writer, so keep it up!:D

Leaving EXILES was more of an editorial decision, but I'm not complaining. 40 isssues is a long run by any measure, and I suspect Chris will bring a fresh take to the book that will be good for EXILES. I like what I've seen of his new direction so far.
But I should also say that leaving Paul Pelletier is something I'd never do voluntarily, and i WILL work with him again! He...completes me. He completes me.
But on the whole, change is good and I'm lining up very interesting things these days...

So Paul is staying on Exiles? Awesome! I would love to see his work someday in the colored-over-pencilled style that they attempted with Sal Larrocca and ChrisCross. I've seen some of his rough pencils, and he's got some of the cleanest in the industry right now! I'm really excited, can't you tell?!

Since the Exiles do not use time travel devices. I assume the best way to expain it would be that it is a world Similar to DOFP. One that is happening right now, not in the future. Just like Spider Man 2099 isn't the one from the 2099 universe. He is from a alternate one. One that is happening now in 2006.

One could argue that by pulling them out of their reality, it causes an alternate reality, unless they are put back the instant they are taken.

I like that idea, although it would cause all sorts of problems for the Time Breakers....:p

If the Exiles don't use time travel devices, how did they get to the 80s in the New Universe or 2099 in the 2099 universe?

Ok, They never went to the New Universe or 2099 universe as we know them in publish comics. They went to worlds similar to them that are happening right now, not in the past or future. Either the worlds rotated slower or faster to have things play out sooner of later. Or the devolopement of things happened sooner or later. Either way these realities are hapening in the equal to 2006 not 2099 or the ninety eighties.
Still confused, Same as what happened in the 80's earth the Sliders visited on Tv. If your still confused, I'll try to help, but I can't think of any other way to explain it. As of right now.

Right on, Frogoat.
You could say that time passes more slowly on some worlds than others, or whatever. I just say enjoy the story.

And as the Time Breakers said, they're not creative thinkers. Aren't they causing more problems by pulling people out of their own times, creating more timelines that shouldn't exist, meaning Exiles would go on forever (not that that's a bad thing).

It could be that pulling certain won't cause a timeline to go bad. Maybe they don't care about creating more. Just fixing the ones that are on the wrong track.

True, but what about a timeline where a character has died while being an Exile? Not nitpicking, just spitballing ideas.

As we've seen, any Exile that has died has ended up in that stasis wall. I'm not sure how their deaths could really affect the progress of the reality anyway.

Ah, but Heather Hudson has been depositing their bodies back on their home realities. And their deaths would affect reality, as what if they are supposed to do something, and are plucked from their reality before they get a chance to do it? That would affect that reality significantly.

My ulimate theory on the Exiles are that they are expendiable. That is why each certain one is selected from the gillions of alterinate verison of themselves.
Look at it. Blink and Sabretooth are from a doomed timeline. Hyperon was from a planet where he was the only one left. Sounds like expendiable to me.

Their deaths don't effect their realities. It's the same as a how time travel mission to the past won't change your future (sometimes). I imagine that the unvierses the dead Exiles/Weapon X members come from are worlds similar to ones in which they weren't chosen. The original premise was that these characters from realities that were about to be corrupted, going along the wrong path, so their deaths just meant that that reality would continue in the wrong direction. Now, if someone dies, the actions are refrectled in the time stream of that universe.
I really hope I'm making sense...

You make sense, but is that really true? True, the Exiles were told that, and Blink and Sabretooth were told they were from a doomed timeline, but we've since seen that that is not correct. Were the bugs lying, or were they mistaken?

Well AOA actully still existing is against the whole AOA storyline, but if Phoenix saved it, who would of see that coming. Maybe they didn't know or maybe AOA is still doomed. Maybe Sabretooth and Blink's absence saved AOA.

The bugs were probably lying. They've been acting shady enough all this time that this seems like the best explanation.
