Now, it's safe to assume that older comic readers and pulp hero fans know that the Phantom mantle is passed on from father to son etc etc..
Check out this image my gf sent me. Does anyone know if it's official or fan art?
Either way, it's goddamned AWESOME.

It's not like any Phantom i have seen, this must be something recent?
I think it's an ancestor to our The Phantom, maybe 18 century or something.
Cool anyway.

Its a cool picture but its not the Phantom I know and love. Is this a new incarnation?

Probably as i said an ancestor, look at the setting, as you know our Phantom is the 22nd.

I really like that "historical" of The Phantom. Here's two more great images, both from upcoming Moonstone releases. The b&w image is particularly striking, don't you think?

I really like that b&w picture. I don't care for the "historical" Phantom, though.

It looks Elizabethan to me 1558-1603. The pantaloons, the collars, and the armor give it away.

That B&W image is amazing. I loved the one underneath it. The Donald Duck one is a riot! It's great!

Well youre the expert, i guess this will be the first Phantom then, so no skulltatto ring yet to mark the bad boys with:)
Why are there no collected reprints of the Phantom comic strip???
Man I'd buy them in a flash! Even though I'm not even really sure of who the classic creators are/were ...

Lee Falk is(was he is dead) The Phantoms creator(1936), the first artist i think was Ray Moore, but Sy Barry is probably the most known Phantom artist.
