That's messed up especially with Venom but with art by Leinil Francis Yu I can't argue...

This actually looks really good, dealing with Iron Fist, Venom, Ant-Man, US Agent, and yes Howard the Duck.

Also a hint at who maybe be in the cap costume in Omega flight.

My apologize, I missed the other thread, Moderator, can you just fold mine into that.

Thanks

I think that is going to be really good seeing the smaller characters who don't have their own tie in pick their sides. Do you think it is going to be set up like Frontline with short stories about each hero having a small story or a story that some how combines them all?

Can they afford to do that though? Dc is able to take more chances on the publishing schedule because they have Time-Warner money behind them.

Probably. They've done low-cost issues before.

Nope, obviously it's a fake cover.

What's up with the Howard hate?

He's got more personality and history than a lot of characters running around in their own books right now!

Wow, the book looks like its going to be really good just from the interview and scetches. I'm actually glad its a new guy. I loved Scott but hopefully he'll be one of those characters that never comes back (Mar-Vell, Mocking Bird, ect.). I also hope Pym ditches the super hero business because I always liked him better as a supporting scientist type character, which is probably what he will be in this comic.

that looks awesome. I totally love howard the duck. I have the ML figure of him, and i have a setup where i have a bunch of heroes all about to take him on. You probably don't think it's funny, but to me, i chuckle when i see it, and i add new figures every time i get one. Also, did something happen to eddie brock, cause i haven't payed much attention to Spidey comics besides CW.

Edit: I wanna know why Scorpion is venom. What the hell happened? Somebody let me know.

yeah, Scott Lang sort of needs to stay dead so that Cassie can flourish. and i think Pym's best days are behind him as a superhero. he should just do what he's doing now in the Beyond series; ditching a codename and being a superscientist. plus, the new Ant-Man will need a mentor.

also, the creative team suggests u.s. agent will be in omega flight (as others have said).

Yeah... no offense to Scott Lang but I really think he should stay dead. Both Cassie and the New Ant Man probably would really be hindered if Lang returns.

As for Pym... I'm cool with him retirning. But if he does, I hope he gets some sort of storyline or something to send him off. Him just deciding to quit would be sort of anti-climactic given the career he had.

There's a ML Howard the Duck? If so, I need one!

Only one I know of is the little one that came packaged with Silver Surfer several years back...

Why would they though?

That was to get people into all the new Year One Later books, 52 etc. wasn't it? Same as the $1 Infinite Crisis prelude they did.

Civil War and its tie ins already selling like hot cakes so there is no need to lower the price when they are going to sell at least 30,000 looking at the over sales.

As I fan of course, I'd love a $1 book.

Interesting, still Howard being in it is a wtf moment. Anyone else think it would be cool if Howard sponsored a new superteam or throw him in Mighty Avengers and he can be like Jarvis?

It'd be a nice goodwill gesture after the hard feelings people had about the Civil War delays. Plus, it is basically a prelude to at least 3 new books. I'm not saying I'd expect them to, but I would've been pleased.

I'm up for this one. I'm like Venom and I like Guggedheim's writing on Wolverine. Iron Fist is cool. U.S Agent aint too great but really the one to watch for is Howard the Freaking Duck!

Hmmm... some randon thoughs.

Though I'm not a big fan of US Agent or anything, I'm suprised he has such a small wrong in Civil War. I'd think he was posterboy government superhero. At least he's being addressed in some capacity.

Iron Fist is kind of a weird choice though, since he shows up reasonably prominently in Civil Wars main book and well as in Daredevil. I'd guess he'd show up in Heroes for Hire eventually too, but who knows. Anyways, I like Danny and all but I don't see him as a character that needs to exposure. I think they should have used characters with less expsoure.

And Venom is weird too. They threw a criminal in there. Though I guess getting a criminals perspective of Civil War is interesting. But for him the status quo shouldn't be that different.

And it's always nice to see Howard the Duck.

Seeing Scoprion currently wears the Venom suit maybe he uses his powers ot fight the pro guys.

Seeing i read somewere that the thudnerbolts had Venom on their list.

Or maybe the venom suit gets a new owner wich turns it around.

I do think they should have a new Vemon (or find a believable way to bring back the old one if at all possible). Having the Scorpion become Vemons never made sense to me... it's like deciding one day to have Spider-Man become Iron Man.

Scorpion was already a perfectly good character, he didn't need to become Venom. But that's a rand for another say I suppose.

The current TBolt army list is so big, almost anyone non-A list character you can imagine could be on it. Vemons a possibility. And the old Venom at least did almost act like a hero on good days. Current Venom, I'm not so sure about.

you didn't miss anything. he's not in Captain America's shadow by choice. he really does want to the hero America looks to.

P.S. am i the only one who doesn't like Mac Gargan as Venom? maybe it's just that i had gotten too used to Brock w/ the symbiote. but i kind of see Gargan as a wannabe. he was a wannabe when he was still the Scorpion. at least Brock had revenge as a motive. Mac was just some loser who let J Jonah Jameson sign him up for augmentation. if you don't like Scorpion-Venom, who would you like to see bond with the symbiote? Flash Thompson? Ben Reilly? someone else?

completely agree Scorpion deserves to be himself.

the idea i myself have is that theyl somehow may try to give Venom to another person and that this person has alot more contorl over the suit and that this new venom could be made into a new anti hero.

With Toxin though I wonder if that wouldn't be a bit redundent. He's kind of already the new "good" Venom. Though he hasn't been seen in a while so who knows.
