Welcome to the second match today. Please read and consider both strategies before voting on who's would win if the two strategies were used against each other. Discussion is appreciated.

Jessica Drew- Maelstrom, Thor, Man-Beast, Clea, Carrion, Bedlam (Jesse), Caliban

kentonator- Beta Ray Bill, Moondragon, Shadowcat, Invisible Woman, Ghost Rider

Here is kentonator's strategy-

Phase 1
Everyone except ghost rider starts out touching Shadowcat as she phases all of them before any attacks. Ghost Rider is on his bike heading towards Drew’s team. Invisible woman at the same time put a shield over ghost rider protecting him and also making him invisible to drew’s team. Invisible woman also puts an air tight shield around Maelstrom taking his air away and thus removing air making it hard on him to absorb the kinetic energy mentally. With one hand on Shadowcat Beta Ray Bill starts to swing Stormbreaker with as much strength as he can once he releases it he has it phase through a dimension only to reform right in front of Thors face smashing him backwards with the fury that is BRB. Moondragon engages Jesse in a mental battle trying to break is will and lobotomizes him.
(After phase 1: Maelstrom should not be so focused so he won’t be able to think clearly and absorb the full amount of energy or any at all. Thor is stunned. Jesse should be down.)

Phase 2:
Everyone still on shadowcat, Ghost Rider reaches Carrion and wraps his magical chain around him and drags him off before releasing hell fire on him, leaving him in agony. Ghost Rider turns his bike around and heads back to the fight. Invisible Woman turns to the man-thing and Thor. Thor should be stunned after the fast attack by BRB and get caught in an air tight field of energy as doe’s man-thing the slow moving monster. They are both trapped inside energy fields so tight that they cannot raise their arms, this will not allow Thor to lift his hammer up to aid him. This gives BRB a chance to focus on a different opponent and sends his hammer flying away at the sorceress Clea whacking her and taking her down. Moondragon if her mental battle is over with Jesse which it should be as he is not as experienced as she is. She then turns her mental powers towards Maelstrom who is already loosing air due to being in the Air tight force field of Sue, blocking out his mind and not letting him control his abilities to absorb any energy further weakening him.
(After phase 2: Jesse is defiantly down; Carrion is laying about 50 yards away after being dragged behind a motorcycle in agony due to hellfire. Maelstrom is very weak with his lack of oxygen to his brain and with Moondragon assaulting his mind. Clea should either be completely out or so badly beaten after a hit from BRB’s hammer that she is done. Thor and Man-thing are both trapped with their arms at their side in a field not able to fight back as well.)

Phase 3:
Ghost Rider now rides off towards Caliban when he reaches him he wraps his chain around him and drags him off the battle field as well, only he does not use hellfire he just starts pounding on him while the chain holds him down. The other group finally let’s goes of Shadowcat and runs off to the other team, once they all reach them shadowcat phases into the ground coming up right where man-thing is and pulls him halfway into the ground. Invisible Woman releases her shield on Maelstrom but puts energy fields over his eyelids blinding him and leaving him open for BRB to smash with Stormbreaker, which he does and leaves him to fall as he would not be able to withstand a direct hit from BRB like that. Moondragon is finishing off anyone that may still be up with the exception of Thor and man-thing.
(After phase 3: Man-thing is halfway in the ground; Caliban is held down by GR’s chain and is taking a beating from him. Maelstrom is out from a direct hit from BRB.)

Phase 4:
Ghost Rider stays on Caliban. The team gathers around Thor for his takedown, as sue did with Maelstrom she blinds Thor and removes his shield when he instantly takes a hit from BRB with stormbreaker, Kitty phases through the ground pulling one of Thors legs halfway into the ground up to his thigh, Moondragon fires TK bolts at him while is getting hits from BRB until he is down. Once he is knocked out the shield over the top of man-thing is released as he is mentally hit by Moondragon and physically hit by BRB. They ware him out. This should take everyone out or at least leave them unable to attack, just incase they all come together touching kitting even ghostrider BRB swings his hammer around creating a huge twister picking up all of the fallen opponents and letting invisible woman capture them all in an air tight field to finish off and one who still may be left to fight, once they are sure that they are all knocked out Sue lets the field go as to not kill anyone.

And Jessica Drew's, Part 1-

Preliminary Notes:
1. Most of my team members have either some level of psi powers (Man-Beast, Clea, Carrion, Jesse Bedlam, Caliban) or resistance to psi powers (Thor, Maelstrom, Man-Beast, Clea, Carrion, Jesse Bedlam, Caliban).
2. Moondragon is nowhere near as powerful now as she used to be when, a). she had the mind gem, and b). she was inhabited by the Dragon.
3. Check out my scan-links before voting, please.

First Stage: Simultaneous actions

· Everyone closes their eyes (until Clea has Ghost Rider’s “eyes” covered), and Man-Beast mind-links the teams (he’s controlled hundreds of beasts AND people, so six shouldn’t be a problem).
· Thor battles/defends his team against Beta Ray Bill.
· Clea calls forth the Crimson Bands of Cytorrak to bind Ghost Rider—especially about the eyes—and Shadowcat (who cannot phase out of them because they’re mystical bands). If the Invisible Woman has an invisible force field up, this would not prevent the bands from taking effect. If somehow the bands don’t work against Ghost Rider, then Man-Beast closes his eyes and mind-blasts him until Clea can summon a counter-spell.
· Maelstrom—who, as a Deviant/Inhuman hybrid, has reflexes and reaction times superior to even the Eternals*--even more so than the mightiest humans—manipulates the fear centers in the brains AND stops the hearts of Moondragon and the Invisible Woman (who are physiologically human, meaning much less complex and sturdy than the physiology of the Eternals, of whom he’s already done this*). See the footnote if you don’t believe that Maelstrom could do this to both of these powerful women.
o If, for some reason, everyone decides to focus his/her attacks on Maelstrom, then Thor defends with a quick spin (faster than light speed, according to Journey Into Mystery #86 and many subsequent issues) of Mjolnir, and Man-Beast further defends with a psi-shield that once repulsed the famed Mjolnir (Thor #135**). The rest of my strategy would subsequently take effect.
o If, for some reasons, everyone decides to focus his/her attacks on Thor, then my battle plan should still work well.

*Maelstrom’s ability to strike—even at a distance—is quicker than Moondragon’s ability to think. Maelstrom has (in Quasar #21) held Sersi, Moondragon, and Quasar in place while he stopped the heart of Makkari (the Eternal speedster who, then, was the fastest being on Earth, even faster than Quicksilver at the time) before Makkari could race around A MERE TABLE to attack him. In fact, in Quasar #22, Moondragon—remarking upon why she didn’t do anything to help Makkari--admits that Maelstrom manipulated the fear centers in her brain. Futhermore, she even remarks upon how tough it is to safeguard/control an Eternal’s mind…and Maelstrom did this with ease.

**Man-Beast scan: http://www.freewebs.com/andybhardy/manbeastscans.htm

NOTE – Just in case....

· Carrion teleports over—to wherever the other team is, and he’s a telepath, so he shouldn’t have to see them--and touches Moondragon, killing her. If Sue has her force field up, Carrion—who can turn intangible—phases through it.
· Man-Beast teleports Caliban and Jesse Bedlam across to the other team—wherever they are (which he doesn’t have to see, as Man-Beast is a telepath, too)(and inside any force fields…oh…wait a minute…Sue hasn’t had time to erect any because no blood is getting to her brain) where:
o Bedlam unleashes a neural EMP flare (the kind of which Pete Wisdom taught him how to do in the Ellis issues of X-Force), putting Sue to sleep.
o Caliban knocks out Moondragon (if Carrion hasn’t gotten to her, first)

First Stage results: Moondragon and the Invisible Woman are down.

Second Stage: Simultaneous Actions

· Maelstrom starts to absorb Beta Ray Bill’s kinetic energy. Now, as much energy as Bill has (in him AND in his mace), this won’t defeat him, but it should slow him down considerably. Maelstrom then uses this kinetic energy to shoot Beta Ray Bill with kinetic force bolts (which once nearly knocked out the Thing), as Thor continues to keep hammering at Bill.
· Clea continues to hold the Crimson Bands of Cytorrak around Shadow Cat and Ghost Rider, while:
o Jesse Bedlam releases a neural EMP pulse knocking out Shadow Cat
o Caliban punches and punches at Ghost Rider until he’s knocked out.
o Carrion sprinkles his debilitating dust on Ghost Rider.
o Man-Beast psycho-blasts the two of them (and his blasts have hurt Thor and knocked the High Evolutionary—in his armor—down for the count).

Second Stage results: Ghost Rider and Shadow Cat are out.

Jessica Drew's strategy, Part 2-

· Thor and Maelstrom continue to battle Bill.
· Man-Beast psycho-blasts Bill.
· Clea summons forth, again, the Crimson Bands of Cytorrak to hold Bill, while the rest finish him off.
o If he ever breaks free,
§ Jesse Bedlam releases an EMP pulse that should at least daze him.
§ Carrion teases him with the ol’ “Nah, nah, nah-nah, nah; you can’t hit me” bit.
§ Caliban jumps on his back, stating, “Caliban always wanted to ride a horsie.”

Third Stage results: Beta Ray Bill is down and out. He’s beaten so badly, that when he wakes, he looks like this:

First:

Maelstrom stops Invisible Woman's heart before she can act, think, or throw an invisible force field around anyone. Maelstrom's reaction time and ability to think and to act are MUCH quicker than hers, so his actions take place BEFORE hers; thus, she--and Moondragon--are dead before either can do anything. I think that after the Invisible Woman and Moondragon are dead or down (especially the Invisible Woman), that Kentonator's inventive plan falls apart.

Also, Clea has called forth the Crimson Bands of Cytorrak to hold Shadowcat AND Ghost Rider; this means that Kitty Pryde isn't phasing anyone, and that Ghost Rider never reaches Carrion (whom he wouldn't have reached anyway, considering Carrion is teleporting to the other side of the field).

Another: Man-Thing is not on my team; Man-Beast is, and they have two totally different power sets. Man-Beast--the one on my team--isn't a lumbering, slow-moving character.

Beta Ray Bill: Once the Crimson Bands of Cytorrak grab Shadowcat--and these bands don't have to travel over space; they just appear--then Beta Ray Bill can't phase Stormbreaker. HOWEVER, even if he does, Mjolnir would warn Thor (as it did in Journey Into Mystery #114, page 7) of the danger, so he'd expect it coming. AND, even if it hit him, it wouldn't take him out of the game, and Maelstrom is there to attack Beta Ray Bill until Thor can recover.

I think JEssica is slightly over using some charecters. and certain things wont work, but over jessicas strat is SUPER solid and gets my vote

Casting spells is not exactly instant, so I think my team would be phased and be able to get the most of my moves off, if we do get phased then maelstroms attacks wont be able to hit Sues, and Moondragons brains due to their high energy resistance and mental resistance, which would falter their attacks.

If we can get those off clea also wont be able to get ghost rider since she wont even know where he is if carrion teleports GR wont just be a tard and head into nothing he would turn around.

and my bad about man-beat/thing deal that kinda suxed for me.

But good fight JD

No, casting spells isn't exactly instant, but Clea--who was mighty enough to defeat Umar and rule the Dark Dimension --has been using summoning spells like the Crimson Bands for eons. This is not a difficult spell for experienced mystics to cast, and it should be near-instantaneous. MOREOVER--Maelstrom kills the Invisible Woman and Moondragon before they can think. Moondragon is a skilled telepath; however, even she cannot manipulate the flow of blood in her body. That's a physiological skill, not a mental one.

IN OTHER WORDS, the phase never happens for Moondragon and the Invisible Woman, because Maelstrom's thought processes, reactions, and actions are quicker--even at a distance of 100 yards--than anyone else's one either of our teams. He kills them before they phase.

BTW, Clea doesn't need to know where Ghost Rider is in order for the Crimson Bands to grab him.

Gotta hand it to JD here. He just has a tighter strat overall.

I dont think that scan is sufficient enough to prove taht maelstorm thinks faster than others, there have been many instances of speedsters being tagged by people not nearly as fast as them

Moondragon is a skilled telepath; however, even she cannot manipulate the flow of blood in her body. That's a physiological skill, not a mental one.

.

Actually Moondragon can control the bloodflow of her body, she has complete control over her bodily functions bloodflow being one of them, that ability isnt tied to her telepathy
