Whatever happened to the Guardians Of The Galaxy? And...

why have they never been revived in comic book form?

I didn't follow their adventures religiously, but I have to admit that I loved the issues I did read...I am planning to get every back issue, and I had a couple of questions for the GG fans here:

1-Was Galactic Guardians and Guardians Of The Galaxy the same team?
Why the 2 different names...anyone know the 411 on that?

2-Was the title popular at all?

3-Who would you have draw and write a new GG title, if you could choose?

4-Has Marvel shown any interest at all in revisiting the GG mythos?
I always thought they could've been a great cartoon...

1- Galactic Guardians was a small spin off team. It even had some members of the original G.G. on it.

2. It lasted 60 issues so I consider that a decent run

3. If I could choose I'd like George Perez to do it.

You should read the original appearance in Marvel Superheroes (#19?)... Not bad, but enough to keep them around.

Also, I thought they were more or less rubbed out in the Korvac saga... or at least Starhawk played the critical role at solving the mystery. See Avengers #175 for the details.
