Multiple Dooms.
Okay I got this idea for a marvel comic story. It's just a little thing thats been buzzing around in my head for a couple of hours and will probly not amount to anything but I'm stuck on the ending so I'm gonna ask you.
Okay here goes. It's a crossover between Fantastic Four and X-Factor.
The plot is that Dr.Doom has taken over Jamie Madrox's body and needs to be stopped.
It starts out with Doom has just finished getting rid of all his Doombots due to the fact that they tend to malfunction and make a fool of him.
While thinking of somthing to replace them he studies past battles of the Fantastic Four looking for weaknesses. He happens upon the first apearance of Madrox and notices that in spite of not being in his right mind he nearly defeated the FF.
After extensive reserch he sends out drones to capture all of Jamie's Dupes before finally snagging the original Jamie right out of mutant town.
He forces the original to absorb all the others and then switches bodies with Jamie.
Okay can anyone give me an idea on what should happen next?

Doom dupes himself but since they are all doom they fight over who is the main doom.lol I dont think Doom would go that route by duping himself.

Doom and three of his duplicates form a barber shop quartet and tour the Midwest as “Victor and the Von Dooms.”

Yes but the original Doom can merely will the dupes back to his own consciousness at anytime just like Jamie.
Even when they are seperate they are still basicly the same entity. You should read up on Jamie's powers.

Imagine Doom with those abilties.
I think that because they are all Doom they will trust eachother completely unlike a clone or a robot.

Jamie's dupes turned against him in the past. One even betrayed him to the Nasty Boys.
That's why the barber shop quartet angle works so well. You can play the different dupe personalities off each other for a great character-driven book set against the backdrop of a Kansas' longest running barber shop quartet tournament. The original Doom will be like the band leader who has to keep everyone under control and look out for the group's best interests (the other members can jokingly refer to him as "Mom," much to his chagrin). But then they'll be an obsessively compulsive Doom who is forced to share the same hotel room with the Doom dupe who is always making a mess of things (like forgetting where he left his mask, getting peanut butter all over his cape, etc.) -- and, of course, that leads to some hilarious situations. Then, for added drama, there can be another Doom dupe who is really jealous of the original and conspires with rival barber shop quartets to ruin the performances.
What do you think?

I think your being silly.
But I think Doom's downfall should come from the parts of his mind that the dupes reveal.
But that won't stop him from doing it in the first place out of shear arrogance.
Doom beleives he is perfect and thus will not suffer the same problems Jamie has. And for a while it will work beautifully.
But we all know that Victor is far from perfect and I would love to see what kind of dupes he spawns from his twisted head.:evilsmile

I still think he wouldnt go the dupe route because of what i said. Also what is to keep the dupes from inventing a machine so that they wont be absorbed back into doom. Another problem is i could see them fighting over who gets the glory when it comes to offing the f.f.

True true. But I still think he would be arrogant to the point where he would attempt it.
Doom has a history of biting off more than he can chew. I just think it would be a cool story.
And we get to see different parts of Doom's brain acting out.
So what would happen?

I'll go you one better.
Instead of eliminating the Doombots, they react to the news that Jamie has beaten Doctor Doom by hunting down the dups that have been generated... and kill them.
This psychic backlash is the motivation for Doom to flee from that body, or else snaps back when he looses control.
I'd also make Doom unable to control Jamie's powers, because he's new to the body and hasn't practiced the skill of pulling them back again... so, he stuck with all these "warring" quarelling dups that he can't control... each with the arogant ego he possesses... but each one unique...until the Doombots begin showing up and offing each one.
I don't really see the need to involve the FF in this storyline... at least, not yet.

That's better.
I would love to see a Doom Dupe with very low self esteem and intense remorse for all that he has done.
This dupe would call up Reed Richards and beg for forgivness then colapse in a heap crying for his mother.
Then the other dooms would kill it.:evilsmile :p
