Who Woud Be On Your Omega Flight Team?

the new lineup definately wasn't what i was expecting; not that it's a bad thing. but who would you have picked for the roster? mostly classic characters? Mostly newbies? etc.

I prefer Snowbird as a separate entity; she doesn't have the best chemistry with the team, but she can be a lucky strike extra. IIRC Jeffries and Diamond Lil are married, so they're a natural fit. Talisman brings the mojo. Puck and Northstar represent the old guard, and I think Northstar will be interesting on the comeback from all that Hydra business. Sasquatch is the muscle. I really don't know the new characters that well, but Purple Girl, Major Maple Leaf, Puck II, etc. didn't do much for me.

I don't think it matters who that characters are if the writing is good. The point was made that the reason all new characters are being brought in is that the old ones didn't do anythign for readers. Well, maybe that's because the writing stunk.

Serioulsly though, I'd also like to see Sasquatch, Nemesis, Talisman, Northstar, Aurora, and Box (Jeffries).

It's not a big change obviously, but Alpha Flight was one of my favorite teams ever.

Sasquatch; I don't care how. He's on the frigging team. No 'Flight' should operate without a big orange fuzzy. But he's never allowed to be the leader again.

Snowbird; The real goddess of the Marvel Universe. I'd like to see her on a leadership role if they go after mythical baddies.

Aurora; Let the poor crazy girl go home with friends and family who love her.

Persuasion; Because I'd like to see her back into the titles to deal with the crap her father's been doing 'lately'.

Guardian; Someone new. Maybe a Vindicator. One of the old Beta Flight kids would do who got depowered and is furious to find out what happened to Alpha Flight.

Box; Because Jefferies needs love, too.

Puck; Because Sasquatches cannot function without bickering with a Puck.

I'd go with a classic lineup, plus Wolverine. I'd have Quesada hyping up Wolverine's presence on the book big time, claiming that my lineup will split the internet in half. I'd make sure Wolverine was on every cover, and that his name was featured prominently above Omega Flight in the title. This would ensure that the book would experience huge sales, and keep it from cancellation.

Snowbird (http://www.marvel.com/universe/Snowbird) -- descended from the Goddess of the Northern Lights, Snowbird has joined the team to be there for her friend Vindicator in her time of need and convinced her husband Yukon Jack to join as well; Snowbird is very distressed at the inclusion of Yeti on the team, and is in a constant state of uneasiness in his presence as she senses a great mystical evil emanating from within the beast -- and Yeti's dislike of Snowbird seems mutual
