View Full Version : Did Morbius rub himself out..?

I hope some of you may be able to help me identify a particular comic which featured Morbius the vampire...
I'm trying to recall a comic I owned some 30 years ago, so bear with me... But a character toward the end of the story placed some metal bands around his hands and "wiped" himself out of existance (think "The Living Eraser"). I'm not sure if it was Morbius himself who did this, or if he was just there...
I'm also fairly certain that the story featured Spider-Man, so it seems likely I'm looking at Spectacular SM 6, 7, 8 or 38. Anything previous to that would seem to be too early.
Any help in identifying the issue would be greatly appreciated.

The comic you're looking for is Marvel Two-in-One #15 (May '76), starring the Thing and Morbius vs the Living Eraser.

Yeah, that's a speedy response! Thanks, Cei-U.
I posted the question here as a backup in case my 'net searching didn't pay off...which it hadn't done for long enough. But then, just before I logged back in here, I guessed that the character I was thinking of actually was The Living Eraser (although I'd thought he never appeared more than once)...
Hoping to pick up a copy of this again, just for the memories.

You're most welcome, Omac. If you don't mind b&w art, the story is included in The Essential Marvel Two-in-One collection.

That's my fault for being one of those pesky Englishmen. :)
And thanks for the info re: the essential collection, Cei-U. I've got my eye on an eBay sale, but that'd be a good backup plan.
Dunno where I got the idea that Spider-Man was in it. I've been trying to remember some of the comics I used to have (from those days where you could actually find them in any newsagent, even in the UK!) but sometimes the details get very mixed up...

Welcome to the forum, Omac.

They showed what happend in Morbeus's next appearance. Spectacular Spider-Man 7 I think.

Maybe I had one of those issues too - sometimes I find it difficult enough to remember what went on last week!
Thanks for the welcome, all. I've only just got back into properly collecting various titles again after an absence of 15 years - and enjoying it greatly - so I may have more daft questions from time to time. A lot of catching up to do...
And I'll try to keep the beer in the shade, and refrain from reminding those of a US persuasion that they're the ones who lost all the "U"s in the first place. ;)
