There was a link to the SDCC footage of the fourth Batman season in the Comic Reel.

Looks like Robin is going to debut and they have a DKR-style flash-forward episode coming up.

Very nice animation for the Robin action sequences. I haven't been following the series but I'll probably check out a few of the upcoming episodes.

this season should be fun to watch.

is thre any truth to the rumour that Paul Dini was involved with this season?

Hmm...the comments at that link say that the Flash and Martian Manhunter will be in the season finale...?

hate to admit it but it looks pretty cool...it will be interesting to see how they handle harley...it's hard to image anyone else doing her voice besides arleen sorkin, but that chick did a pretty decent impersonation i think...

Nightwing and that's all I gotta say.

He should his own series though :D A spin off from the WB Gotham Knights one or whatever they called it when they bought it from fox.

The batcrap I mean The Batman and Batman The Animated Series are not the same show. By the way Batman was never owed by Fox. It was just under contract that Warner Bros where forced to wait for the contract to end. WB is owned Warner Bros and Warner Bros ownes DC comic and DC comic ownes all right to Batman. Why do you think that DC comic are done through Warner Bros. I still can't believe that there still trying to fix this crapfest. Unless I see the real Bane and the real Joker forget it. Untel I get what made the original Batman The Animated Series cool this show still means nothing to me. And bring Robin in to this seem nothing more than a copout to me. Now I just hope that this is the last season for this show.

Most of the Batman comic book fans hate it. most fans when asked what show thay like most say original Batman The Animated Series. Most fans hate this show and I have to agree with them on that. No one and I mean no one likes how the Joker looks and how Bane looks on this crapfest. And it pisses me off when I see them to. And i really don't likes the younger in your face Batman. All this crap in season 4 seems nothing more then them saying, "Please, save ower show. It's dying a slow and painful death."

It's fine if you enjoy it with your son. But to me and most people out there see this show as an insult to Batman and the characters in the comic books. And just hate that younger in your face Batman. When I hear Bruce Wayne saying something stupid like, "Grat axe, man." I just want to bash that Guitar over his skull.:evilangry

of course batman the animated series is better it was a great show, but the batman is aimed at a totally different audience, it's not an insult to batman fans, it's a way to introduce kids to a batman THEY can enjoy. as much as i love batman returns and batman the animated series their for atleast teens, some cartoons are for kids you know. it's just a cartoon for gods sake.

Most of the Batman comic book fans have better things to do than hate on a cartoon for eight year olds.

This new season completely passed me by. I honestly thought the show had been cancelled, I heard so little about it.

And now between Robin, Black Mask, Paul Dini, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Oracle, Jane Espenson, Doug Petrie, multiple Clayfaces, Brandon Routh, Allison Mack, and Martian Manhunter, I gotta say, this all sounds fun as hell.

You'd think, but I am sure that they'll get around to complaining about this new season too. ;)

Does anyone know when new episodes are supposed to start airing on teletoon in Canada? So far I haven't been able to find any.

Holy Heaven! I actually got chills watching that! I really was sad when I heard that they were going to be adding Robin. I really enjoyed Batman's solo stories. However from what I have seen, this Robin isn't some precocious annoying brat. The portrayal of Robin/Dick Grayson really is reminiscent of Robin in Robin Year One by Chuck Dixon. That while he is clearly a teenage boy, he's also wiser beyond his years. I think they learned their lesson from the introction of Batgirl. Anyway I am really anxious to catch this!

According to the website, I think it airs tomorrow, October 2nd at 7pm. There will be two back to back episodes.

I caught the debut episode on Youtube. I was sad to see that they chickened out by cleaning up the animation. Bruce's features are less angular than they were before. The broken nose and 'Jay Leno chin' are gone.

I also liked how they showed the relationship between Dick and his Mom and Dad. His father John Grayson, was just as much as strong and potent force and deciding factor in to the type of man he became far more than Bruce Wayne did. Something which I have maintained all along.

I also like the Robin origin story because it's a bit less cheesy and hokey than other treatments.

I noticed the change in animation style too. Wasn't happy about it. And, although I thought they did a nice job with the intro of Robin, I would have preferred they left him out altogether. I liked the dynamic between Batman and Batgirl.
