*GASP*

Did I mention PAUL BUNYAN!?

Anyway, this issue picks up where Jack #1 left off, we get a quick recap about what Goldilock has been up too, and we start to get an idea what the retirement village is all about.

And my theories about the Mundy world not being as mudane as advertised gets some more support from the big bad Revice. Seems the Mundy world had itself a mystical being infestation all it's own long before the Fables started pouring in.

Gotta say, this book rules. Essentialy it gives us two full fleged Fables books a month, and it delivers what that should me in spade.

PAUL BUNYAN!

was montecore a fabel ? is roys "fabel" power what kept him alive? loved the "retro" big bad wolf and hansel and gretel - old school

Another good issue, I agree.

But Bunyan does steal the show! His reason for knocking Jack through the wall was hilarious! :D

I really love this book so far. At first, I thought two Fables books a month might be overkill.

I was wrong.

Surly Paul Bunyan was awesome and I agree that he stole the issue. Jack is a great anti-hero for a solo series like this and it looks like Willingham has a sufficient amount of story ideas for him to make this series work. I'm glad I picked this and the 1st issue up, since I am often wary of spin-offs. This is the rare spin-off done right.

The Pathetic Fallacy is great. I loved him telling the pinball table to leave.

would i have had to read the original fable series to read this one?

They recap everything nessisary too know, and the story doesn't really tie with anything going on in Fables.

So yes, you should be able to pick it up and go. But it does build off the core series signifigently.

It'd actualy be interesting to get a non-Fables reader's opinon on the book.

Again, absolutely love the spin-off.

I found everythind I needed to know right at the beginning of #1, and further info in #2. It hasn't hampered my interest in the title the least.

I'll admit to having picked up random issues of Fables, but none of them did much for me. Good, but meh. Jack has surpassed my experiences with the main title.

Still, this spin-off has spurred my interest in going back and catching up via trades. I'll give it another try. So, it's a good trade-off.

I wasn't going to buy this, but issue 1 was in my pull bag, so I bought it... and issue 2 was as well... and now I'm glad - I'm REALLY liking it. Better than the current Fables arc, in fact. :)

and I **LOVE** the fact that the head guy's name is "Revise" That's just beautiful. :)

Many thumbs up for this series so far!

(plus, he nailed Goldilocks and then kicked her ass out!!)
