To any and all knowledgable folks...

I've been looking into the possibility of a post-secondary education involving the comic/graphic novel field, specifically writing/editing. (i cannot draw to save my soul, sadly)

I've been through a number of internet search engines and the like with no luck,
so i'd love to hear if anyone knows of some schools that offer programs relating to that. (no worries if it's a major or a minor or just a history/culture course with a great teacher who knows the industry)

Any kind of direction, via websites, or books, or whatever, would be greatly welcomed.

Thanks in advance

In terms of writing/editing there's no such thing as a specific field of 'comic/graphic novel' study. Your writing is a function of your study of english (or french or whatever language you want to write in) and the inspiration of your life experience. (any writer will tell you: Write what you know and if you don't know, do research.) In terms of editors, you will often find they are artists themselves, who have read ( or viewed{or created} ) so much material that they have developed a critcal expertise in the field, and are therefore given the task of deciding what works and what doesn't. (If their choices{or vision} sells, they keep the job.)
When looking at writing comics, just think of them as movie scripts, or television episodes. You need to be able write visually in terms of scenes and shots, rather than setences and paragraphs. So maybe film study is a good place to start. There are also courses on the history of comics and sequential art which give you a broader understanding of the artform itself.
One thing is where you live. If you live in a big media market city such as New York, or Toronto you will have some more options in terms of specific Comic's and Animation studies.

Here's a couple of examples of Comic/Animation schools, and they do put the emphasis on illustration that's for sure.

If your really convinced that you can't draw( or you just don't like to) then I suggest, again getting into writing for film and television. That way youll be able to write visually and work with a skilled Illustrator to bring the story to life.
