I know we’ve discussed how hot it is before, but for the past few days I’ve been feeling wiped out just going to work. I've had to walk a couple of blocks (parking sucks so bad), and didn't know what was wrong with me. I felt tired, nauseous, & non-functional for the first few hours. I thought all I had to do is “cool off.” I was so wrong. :(
Be careful in this heat. I’m making sure to drink and refill my water bottle at least three times a day. I really needed to drink more water. Soda doesn’t do a thing for me in this heat.

Maybe you should move to Antarctica?

Smart ass. ;)
I need to drink my water on a daily basis.
Besides, I thought a few blocks were hurting me. Maybe several miles would make me polar bear food.

All kidding aside, the only reason why I'm joking is because you diagnosed the problem and treated it. Heat is a serious problem, which leads to many people dying each summer.

I realized you were joking. Hope I didn't come off as upset. The winkie was supposed to denote my playfulness.
People do die of heat exaustion. We think its just the elderly, but many people of all ages die from it.

The heat can be no joke. It was about 15 years ago or so here in Chicago that record heat killed about 600 people. Since then the city has taken every precaution to keep people cool and watered.

I remember that as I live in the suburbs of Chicago. Hard to believe it was fifteen years ago as it seemed like yesterday. God I hate getting old. Stuff that happened ten years ago feels like it happened last week, and stuff that happened last week feels like it happened ten years ago as it all one big blur of information you have to sift through.

I had heat exhaustion a couple of weeks ago. I was miserable, it was three days before I felt myself again. And I had plenty of water.

Damn. I guess there is no outright solution. All I can tell you is between my walk from my car to my job, i felt as if I was sick. I'll do more research to see what my options are. This can't happen every day. I'll be in the hospital if it keeps up.

When I lived in Charleston, there was the same problem. most of the time it was people who couldn't or wouldn't use their AC (the elderly-mainly).

I always thought of Gotham as a stinky place. Stinky and muggy. That batsuit must be good and ripe.

I always think of it as cold, as I equate Gotham to New York.

Trying my best...overheated today. Keeping cool, but long (10-12 hour days) plus graveyard shifts plus trying to sleep thru this heat and failing..it's been a very bad month for me health wise. Sigh. Bad kidneys and gout just round it all out.
On the bright side,i read the new BoP today. I BOUGHT GAIL COMICS! She should be pleased!
