I've just started reading Fables through trades and I was wondering if there has ever been any talk of a Fables Film or Television project. Personally I think Fables would make a great TV, as I really don't see it being adaptable to Film.

Personally I think Fables would make a great TV, as I really don't see it being adaptable to Film.I can't imagine this happening. Fables goes through far too many changes of tone and "genre" to ever survive on TV. The producers would be like "What's going on? One week we're solving murders, the next week we're slaying dragons with a sword!"
It probably could make a really good TV show if a few people with vision (and restraint) were really dedicated to the project, but in the end, why bother? The comic is so great, it's not like I'd enjoy it more if there were also a TV show. And there's certainly plenty of it to go around with Jack of Fables and the upcoming graphic novel.

When I first read about Fables it reminded me of "The 10th Kingdom" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0207275/) . You might want to check it out. It was an excellent TV mini series.
There was a script bible for a Fables movie done. In fact, it was the first place the identity of The Adversary was revealed.

Unfortunately it was supposed to be Peter Pan.

Actually, Mr. Blueferret is wrong. Geppetto was revealed as the Adversary in the Fables movie bible. Although Peter Pan was briefly considered as the Adversary when Fables (the comic series) was being planned, he was dropped from consideration far too early on in the project, long before the Fables bible was written. Apparently this is one of those internet-fed mistakes I am never going to get to stop correcting.
