Anyone picking the current arc of The INVICIBLE IRON MAN?
The Knauf duo and Patrick Zircher are IMO a good combo, i love Zircher art better then Adi Granov and the story is way more interesting then a little virus making people strong.
Tought? Did anyone droped it after #7? waiting for TPB? gave up on it?
Discuss.

I just think it's kind of lackluster.
It's a good story and everything, the art is very nice, but it's just not all that memorable. I can't put my finger on it. It varies from issue to issue, some of them are particularly interesting, but overall it's just kind of...forgettable.
Of course, I was completely blown away by the Ellis/Granov run, so coming off that is difficult. Like I said, it's not the fault of any of the creators, it's a combination of things.

I think that the current Storyarc is excellent.....
And at least, it's been made clear that the tale is prior to CIVIL WAR; in which the IRON MAN'S CW's TIE-INS will occurred afterwards......

It's good, but I really wish it was covering Civil War. Seems a disgrace that characters like Ms Marvel are getting more tie-in issues of her comic than Tony, one of the two main characters! Not that I don't like Ms Marvel, but...

But that still doesn't quite work. Nick Fury was underground at the beginning of the New Avengers. Hill was already in charge.
So the New Avengers are assembled, and Fury's still in power...that one point right there is a bit distracting. It's no one's fault, it's my understanding that the Knaufs wrote their script a looong time ago during the tremendous delays of the previous run and Secret War when no one but Bendis knew what was up with Fury, but it's distracting nonetheless.
I guess it could be No-Prized that he's an LMD, but that doesn't quite make sense.

The next arc covers Civil War.

has something to do with the events of Secret War, which I'd like to pick up in TPB (not HC). Anyone know when it may be released?

I dropped the title after #6... and this coming from someone who's been reading Iron Man consistently for years. The Ellis arc was just... blah... I was looking for titles to drop, and I just completely lost interest in Tony Stark and had no desire to pick up another new storyline. I might get the TPB, but I doubt it... I'll at least flip through it.
Sean Chen needs to do the art on Iron Man.
