While I do find the idea funny, if the button text gets changed, it's function might not be obvious to forum newbies.

Yeah, it might be easier for it to say [Retconed at 54:23 on Grilzemunth 25, 9LE] rather than edited. Then again doing it simply for the DC boards would probably be a bit crazy and I doubt the admins feel the joke is worth the effort of mucking with the code.
