How would YOU write it?

If you were taking over Civil War right now, between issues 3 and 4, where would you take the story from here?

My version goes like this:

Cap tries to contact Peter through Aunt May, drawing the attention of a bad guy, (I'd like it to be Doc Ock, but if he's in Thunderbolts, I'll try to find someone else) Anyway, bad guy is intrigued by May meeting Cap and kidnaps her. Tony makes good on his promise to protect Pete's family and saves Aunt May but is fatally wounded. Peter blames Cap for the whole thing and is finally 100% on-board with the Registration Act. Tony leaves Peter a large stake in Stark Industries, as well as appointing Peter to be Chief Technology Officer. Tony gives Pete complete access to Iron Man suits and plans, as well as IRON SPIDER 2.0, which integrates more seamlessly with Spidey's abilities, but bumps up his power level substantially. Pete hates it of course, but knows he's going to need it to get through Civil War as the new PRO-REG leader.

That's just one I've cooked up, I'll share more later.

Isn't that bias. I think it would be unfair to Cap that Tony uses family to win the war. This war involves more than just one family.

I'd write, much the same way I thought IC should've ended, is that none this is ever happened. Seriously. With people of other nations being forced to comply, people (from what I've seen) not following proper government proceedings, Spider-Man revealing his identity, people acting out of character or being where they shouldn't, and Thor working for S.H.I.E.L.D., this whole story is just an utter mess.

Short of making it a dream, I'd end it in a giant brawl in which almost all the heroes and villains end up dead. At least that would have tons of action.

I would have thor as the hounbol warrior he is give aptain america and his gang one last chance to talk it over promising them free passage out after the tal, Ironman would react to it but agree as he knows he cant take out thor and hopes Vap would listen this time. Cap tries the friendship angel with Thor to get out there en then. Thor says he is not a freind of an oathbreaker and cap gave Iron man 5 minutes and if he dont give him those 5 min then he will consider him a oathbreak adn enemy. So they talk. Meanwile Hill is getting more and more pissed but as she starts to give orders the computers starts to die down becouse of some freak eletrical storm. In the talk Cap start to tell about the curruption of SHIELD and that is why he dont want to join. This gives Ironam something to think about. Others pro reg also mention SHIELD acting currupt. Ironman tells cap that if he can gain any evidence of his claim then they can fight it, but his word wont stand right now becouse of his action. Cap gets abit annoyed since he is captain america but Ironam insist. then Thor teleport the anti away and the SHIELD agent swarm the place, Thor remind Ironman that he to has to keep his promise and them he leaves. Hill fumes as she realise they have no recoding of what happend down there and nobody is talking.

To give the fight you see that Hercules was not teleported away as he was Ko'ed under a pile of rubble. The pro side leave but the SHIELD agents is left to cheack pout the area. Herc wakes up and goes rampage on them.

Next issue would start with two criminals gangsin a holding cell. One brought nin by spiderman the other by cap america. The group that was beaten up by cap jokes about how many times they have been "arrested" and how they always get out becouse it was a wrongfulle arrest and they where not reading their rights, the other gang is slightøy confused becouse spideman did read them thier rights. ( you will get flashback of booth arrrest and have spiderman make a joke as he read the rigths commening that he cant belive he is doing this etc) then their lawyers arrive, the gang arrested by cap gets cut loose becouse of a wrongful arrest while those arrested by spiderman gets told they can expectd time as spiderman is to consider as a lawenforcer now and did the paperwork. ( even if its full of comments)
Then I would contiue on the SHIELD story and have Ironman bring in SHEHULK and start asking about the law and its loophole's. I would spend the rest of the comic with them going over the law so the reader get a fully understndment of the law. Then end it with them booth relsie that SHIELD has messed up the law.

next issue would deal with cap going undercover at SHIELD to find proof of curruption, and make a couple of hide and seek scens threw a helicrafter etc. Again put ina few fun scene with cap in Hills personal quarter as she is showering and he finds a picture of hm and her from the days of comander Fury, its signed by Cap. ( she is/was a fan), A couple of grunts complaing about having to go after the good guys etc. Show that not all SHIELD agents are scumbags etc. He finds little evidence in Hills computer exept a lead that she might not be in total controle of SHIELD.
And spiderman gets told they saw greengoblin out on the street. Ironman takes him to greengoblins holding cell and they are almost conviced that he was not free when the GG makes a wrong comment and they booth understand he was out. The SHIELD attackes them and the booth kick some butts. There is SHIELD backup comming and thats when you get the confusion the cape killers join up with Ironman and sapiderman and the regular SHIELD with the other. Huge fight threw the helicrafter untill Hill arrives and orders a stand down. Ironman accuses her of letting loose GG she disagrees, spiderman says he has witness and threathens to leave. Hill starts to realise things are not as it should be. espesially since it seems there are two factions in SHIELD. she starts to develop a sense ofindipendanst that Fury had. ( and it starts the clean up operartion of SHIELD)

Next Issue, spiderman takes a leave he has to think about the whole thing, You seem him go on vaction as another superhero takes over his beat. Another benefit of the registration act. Ofcourse we have him dodgoing pappartzi get a filomdeaql offer, bookdeal offer, and goes on the Ophrea show with MJ, intercut with superheors doing his job and complaing about how much work it acully is to do all the things spiderman does.
She hulk gets strated on the law and starts talking to lawmakers ( congress) and points out the flaws and that the law is unconstusional and almost orders them to make a new draft. ( make a funny scens as she stands looking down at them as one of the congress members mutters "back to the drawing board lads") Ironman and redd starts to discuss matters about the prison and Reed starts to mention the anomili in his calculation, they have to relocate the prison. He start to work on it. And they go to speedball. The negative zone start to get to him, he is no loonger so cooky the prison is actully quite nice, almost luxuruis but the zone effect thjem mentally so they are all depressed.
Then we find out that Nitro have been brought to Atlantis He tries to explode but Namor keeps beating him up. Sue is there, she does not say much but its clear she is with Namor.

Last issue.
New Law that only requires those who have superpower and uses them to registrat. Kinda like a driving licens. If you choose not to use them then you not required to registrat. It's optinal to join the AVANGER program where you get payed for superhero work thought joining it will give you a few demands. (as with any law enforment emply) The Avangers are lead by Ironman with spiderman in charge of NY. Cap America and the gang does not like the govermental program but agrees to the "dirivng licens" version as loong as the file is only acces by Ironman. Sheild is out of the busniss. The villians realises the civilwar is about to end and in desperation tries to attack. They had a plane trying to bust out any captures superhuman from the negative zone but Reeds has moved them to a pocket realm where they seem quite relaxed. The reminding Villians attack the superheros trying to get hold of the list. Gigantic battle Pro and anti at the same side agains all the villians. Ending as you see the battle is about to take pålace and you see booth cap and Ironman gathering their troups with the battle cry AVANGER*S ASSAMBLE. I would refuse any writers to ever draw the actuall fighitng but ther would be hints of death but only the smart reader would notice who ( of the small charater's died) That way you would have the superheoros bounty hunter types , even bounty hunters need to reg, and the govermental emplyed superheros.

I'm not sure about all of it, but I do like the way it ends. I nice throwdown between everybody in New York (and maybe some that aren't). And instead of comparing the registration card to a driver's liscense, I think it could be compared to what men get when they register now. I like the law you've created since it doesn't interefere with the heroes lives unless they want it to (voluntary service and all that) much like the "real-world" registration program.
