Anything drawn by Greg Land, basically.
He's currently doing ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR but his run ends soon - and he'll be doing an ULTIMATE POWER miniseries in a few months.

Marvels by Alex Ross and Kurt Busiek. It shows off New York, and citizens quite well.
Bendis' Jinx.
Paradigm from Image.

That's manipulated photos (mostly) rather than photo-realistic artwork.
Try checking out The Button Man by John Wagner and Arther Ransom.

The ULTIMATES by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch. Always late but worth the wait!

True.
But still. Fuckin' awesome piece of comic writing.

So's most of Greg Land's work, apparently.

Mike Mayhew is good. His Mystique covers are very polished and crisp.
Bryan Hitch uses real people as *avatars* in his works, so he's in there too.
Obviously Ross.
Some of the work that Adam hughes puts out uses very photorealistic faces that seamlessly blend with comic detailed bodies and backgrounds

Fair 'nuff.
I'd guess mosta the DC comics fans of the time did too. too. It was 'bout as far from superheroes and the standard Vertigo fare as you can get. Was kind of a tough read, too. Took me, like, three or four passes to really "Get" it, y'know.
Veils and Stuck Rubber Baby are the two least... er... traditional, I guess.... Mainstream comics I've ever read.
Then again, I thought that the Paparazzi book which came after it by the same creators was fairly terrible, at least on first (and only) read.

Can anyone explain how or what Greg Land does with his artwork. Photo manipulated how? Not really clear on it. I love the way it looks. I'm guessing he takes a photo and then paints/draws over it?

I'm guessing he takes a photo and then paints/draws over it?Well, he starts with a photo alright. I don't think they're all actually his photos, though.
Unlike, say, Tim Bradstreet.

I actually got to talk to Greg Land at Heroes Con Last year I think it was. He showed me a peice he did of zombies and they were his girlfriend(or wife), a few of his neighbors and a few family members. I believe he took the photo himself and then somehow added the zombie affects. That was the only thing I remember about the converstation.
