Confused about the last Namor series

I just finished reading the 12 issues and it looks like the story is set out of continuity.

Atlanteans do not change skin color when they are out of water. They cannot breath just by covering up their gills.

I know that the other Tsumani titles take place in continuity but what about Namors series? Is it in or out of continuity?

I think Marvel is pretending it doesn't exist in canon because of how lousy it did. What bugged me the most that it took place in Califorina. Now, it's a very aquatic place, yes, but the place is called Atlantis. Shouldn't this place exist, I dunno, in the Atlantic?

And I know that chick has never been mentioned outside of this comic. As far as I know, Namor's first human paramor was Betty Dean.
