Or, if you've got a comic with no adds, editorial or letters pages, then it has to be a multiple of 4.

It depends with ads and all that jazz, but I think 30.

The number of pages in a saddle-stitched comic (staples in the spine) must be a factor of 4 (20, 24, 28, 32, etc.). Your story can be less, but you‘ll have to fill the other pages with something or you will have blank pages.
