View Full Version : Moon Knight's returned to comics, but when's he gonna take a side?

Recently, a former West Coast Avenger has returned to comic shops everywhere. Moon Knight, aka Marc Spector, has returned, and is found at the bottom. I totally can't stop reading the new comics. The drawings are nuts. I just want to see him back in the costume again, and maybe even taking part in the Marvel Civil War. I totally think he'd join Cap's renegades. I believe that since MK has so many personalities, it would be much too difficult to choose which one to sign up as, and I think he really doesn't care about the government too much. I mean, the guy has taken down political figures before. Anyway, another reason for my opinion is that I know MK has never really like Spider-Man, considering he seems to feel that Spidey's an annoying brat. So, there ya go. Tell me if I'm wrong, or let me know if you have any info about MK joinin' in the huge crossover.

If he takes any side, I imagine he would be anti-registration. Though I'll wager rather than picking a side he's hoping to just stay out of it and below everyone radar if at all possible.

I think the guy just stood up on his own for the first time in years. I don't think he's going to be taking sides in CW anytime soon. But he's a serious dude, I think he'll be anti- all the way.

Now which of his personas would they like to register exactly?

Seriously though, he's too preoccupied right now to pick a side, but if he did I'd imagine he'd be vehemently anti-reg.

Civil War will affect his book in issue 8. I think Moon Knight could go niether way. Being a former Marc I imagine him being on the pro side. Of course, being an avatar of a god doens't lend itself to obey the govenment. Then again, Thor is in the pro-side.

I'll bet Moon Knight goes anti because the cover for 7 has Spider-Man on it in his old costume.

Hey man. Nice to meet a fellow Moon Head. Just wanted to say that I'll definitely be posting more about our jet and silver hero. Let me know if you get any info on him appearing in other comics.

What exactly happen to Moon Knight to cause him to be out of action for so long?

Weirdopky

Well, effect, Moon Knight got into a crazy ass battle with his arch nemesis Bushman, and totally f-ed up his legs. Afterwards, he started taking pain pills, and became an @$$hole to his friends, and then he was left alone, a cripple. Then I think his stuff was reposessed. Hope that clears it up for ya

When did this happen? In a previous title of his, off screen, in an team book, etc?

Weirdopky

no dude. It was shown in the first two issues of his newest comic, in the arc, The Bottom. There are flashbacks. There ya go.

So what happen in his last apperance before this new title then if all that was a flashback? Was he just in limbo then this entire time with nothing happening with him until he was used again?

I THINK his last appearance before his series was in Marvel Team up where he, Spiderman and Daredevil fought the ringmaster. Maybe he appeared after that, and I just can't recall.

It was just a fairly standard hero team up though. Everything you really need to know about MK's current status is in the first 2 issues of the Bottom (which you really should check out, cause it's pretty cool).

I think two of his personalities will be anti and two will be pro. I will let you decide which two will be on which.:D
I imagine he will take a side the moment he quits seeing the bloody visage of Khonshu everytime he looks at the statue.
I really dont see him choosing a side. He is too messed up at the moment to go out of the house without his medication, much less get into the War.
I hope after this arc its not all sunshine and roses for Mr. Spector.
The man is seriously messed up. I would like to see this prevalent throughout his time as a superhero.

Hey everyone. As you know, I started this thread about MK. Anyway, just wondering if anybody had any comics they'd be willing to sell. I'm trying to increase my collection, and so far, I'm doing well, but need more. I'm missing a bunch from Marc Spector Moon Knight and a couple from the original, as well as Werewolf by Night 37. If you know about comics you own or places online where i can get them for good deals, please let me know. Thanks :)

No way that Moon Knight will aprove registrations, thats a no brainer.
And i don't think he would bother with all this, he has always done his thing, in the real books.

From what I've heard, my bro read somewhere that MK will be making an appearance in Civil War. I mean, CW 4 hasn't come out, and by the end of September, The Bottom will be finished, so there's still hope for the Jet and Silver hero to make some stand. Just wanted to clarify that.

yeah dude, i just checked a little while ago. I'm so pissed at Marvel right now, they can't organize or keep a schedule for crap. I have to wait a month and a half from issue 4 to issue five, CW four's coming out late, and both frontline 6 and 7 are coming out the same day, making absolutely no sense. This is ridiculous.

you think moon knight got it bad. Punisher war journal, which is a civil war tie-in(!) got pushed back to november, so a three part civil war tie-in starts the same month as the last issue of the main book comes out?????

Moon Knight a casuality of war - cool idea. Civil War really shouldn't affect him in either way but this is a good way to link him to the rest of the Marvel U.

When it actually comes out though .... the current date for #7 is November but we'll see.

Everyone keeps saying "i don't think Moon Knight's gonna be involved." well, from a specific image i found on Marvel.com, i'll prove you all wrong. Here ya go. Happy Now?

look at the bottom next to the chewbacca lookin' character. Are you all satisfied now? This is the cover for Civil War Files #1 slated to come out september 13th. Check the site if you don't believe me. There, it's settled, my pal MK is gonna make some sort of stand in Civil War.

here, i tried to enlarge the picture a little bit, so as you can tell, right below the Punisher is my favorite jewish hero, Moon Knight. Civil War Files 1, all about people's involvment in the war.

I like Moon Knight a lot and enjoy his new series but . . . I don't see the point of him in Civil War. Maybe if he's told he can't register because he's so crazy and then they label him a villian. That I could see working but I think it would be best to keep him under the radar of Civil War personally.

I'm actually more interested in the guy standing to the right of MK. Whose side will Chewbaaca be on in Civil War?

As things stand now, he'd be better off as a Villain than as an Unregistered Hero.

i think moon knight is going to be far too busy trying to collect all his marbles and going after the committee to choose any side!!:evilsmile

Yeah, that's what I'm assuming too. I don't imagine him choosing to get involved unless they try to get him involved (ie Iron Man or one of crownies trying to force Marc to register).

But he's been out of the game for a while, so I can see him slipping through the cracks.

But sooner or later he'll have to interact with SOMEONE in marvel (probably Spider-man since Spidey inevitably teams up with everyone). It'll be interesting to see if he sucked in to Civil War to agree degree when that happens.

Well now, since nobody's posted in this thread in so long, and there's new info out, I thought I'd say something. As most of you have read, he was in CW Files, and the solicitations for 7-10 of MK are all part of "Casualties of War" so, they're not direct tie-ins with the CW logo on the bottom half of the comic, but they will have some connection. Especially since one of the issues shows him and spidey. I can't freakin' wait. Also, finally, ToyFar magazine has pics of the MK legends and the variant, which are both totally awesome. I'm psyched.

This isn't a fair statement. Marvel's schedualing was almost perfect up until the CW #4 delay. Thay had it orginized very well.

I can see Moon Knight's actions being relative to Spider-Man. I think they will end up being friends after this...Spidey will need all the help he can get.

Does Moon Knight still suffer from multiple personalities? It would be funny if some of his personalities were PRO and some were ANTI.

If he will appear in CW, I think he could go either way. His background in the military may sway him to Tony's side, but at the same time, I don't think MK likes being told what to do.

if you look at the december solicits that were put on this forum, you could see that the front cover of MK 8 is of MK and Cap, so I'm pretty sure he's goin' anti. I mean, the guy killed a foreign leader once, and is a vigilante. If punisher goes anti, which he definitely will, then so will MK.

he is in civil war files, as being wanted by S.H.I.E.L.D. but i think that is only because he hasnt chosen a side. although i would like to see him go anti
