Rogue & Dazzler: Should They Meet Again?

So we all know that Dazzler and Rogue are not the best friends ever. Afterall, Rogue tried to..er...KILL Dazzler more than one time in Dazzler's old book.

During her time with the X-Men, though, Dazzler apparently forgave Rogue for what she did in the past, and both actually seemed to get along (despite the crush for Longshot - ugh - that Rogue had). Ironically, it was Dazzler that pushed Rogue through the Siege Perilous.

After that, they met briefly during an arc in Mojoworld in the early X-Men issues, without really interacting.

Now, Dazzler is in London, part of the New Excalibur while Rogue is still in the mansion.

I'd love to see Dazzler leaving London after CC resolve her "death" plot, and meeting with Rogue team in the US. I think it would be really cool to see the two characters interacting again and becoming friends, something that Rogue really needs right now. I don't know, I just think that they work near each other, just like it was cool seeing Dazzler and Havok teasing each other.

What do you guys think about it?

Not sure, Ali is so...messed up now. While Rogue is more in control of her life and destiny than ever in my opinion.

All I can see if Rogue looking puzzled and saying something like, "Gal...wtf happend to you? Why are you hanging out here? And your hair..." at which point Rogue projectile vomits and Dazz pulls up her chaps, slaps TJ on the rear and hops on her chopper.

They really ought to mend things between them.

I think they'd make a great duo with all of their history together.

Perhaps they could do something involving the ladies working together for a common goal, against a mutual enemy.

It'd free some space for them to stitch things up.

Maybe it'd read like a more hardcore Spidey/Human Torch book.

I think it'd be cool. But I'm an 'X-Team Up' whore though.

I like this scenario except for the last part.lol Maybe instead at the end, Dazzler gets a clue, and notices how horrible she really looks. She'll pack her things up and move back to Americas where she'll stay at mansion for a while, followed by her joining one of the X-Men teams.

Dazzler still was an amnesiac, despite people telling Alison she's the infamous Alison Blaire.

Dazzler & Rogue were really not that close on the team.

They seem to have resolved their issues with one another, so meeting for that reason probably isn't necessary.

I would love for the two to meet up again. I thought that by the "Mojo" arc in the second X-Men series that both Dazzler AND Rogue's memories had returned? Dazzler's memories began to return after she was fighting alongside Longshot.

I liked the dynamic the two of them had on the team. Once bitter enemies now forced to be teammates. Despite that they were willing to risk their necks to save the other's butt--and then even when it seemed like things were patched up it was like they just had to find something else to fight with each other over (Longshot...which in all fairness, cut the hair and he'd be pretty hot--Art Adams always drew him pretty hunky). I'm really fond of when superheroes are in situations where they have to work with someone they're not fond of--and then they either learn to get passed it or just remain at each other's throats ;)

A lot of past x-friendships get dropped rather quickly though. Rogue and Storm used to have a bit of a friendship (they were bonding around the time Storm's powers were taken away)...which has pretty much been forgotten (Rogue wasn't even at the wedding). Storm and Dazzler were good friends before she joined the X-Men, after she joined it was like they were just "familiar" with each other. And again...Rogue and Dazzler have quite an extensive history--yet when they see each other again in the Mojo arc not so much as a single word is exchanged between them. Bleugh.

SQUEE!!!! I love you! Sassy Rogue + Fabulous silver Dazzler + blossoming friendship = best issue EVAR.

Now that they can work through the evils of heinous Dazzler-killing Rogue (see my avatar), I think they would be such a fun freakin' duo. I would loooove it!

rogue does not care about dazzler, and dazzler probably does not care about rogue.

but, if they got interested in the same man again.....i could see high drama there.

it would have to not be gambit, though. i don't see dazzler that into swamp rats and social diseases.

Dazzler most certainly cared about Rogue in Uncanny X-Men #247 and felt tremendous guilt,when she had to push Rogue through the Siege Perilous,along with the Master Mold.

Rogue also felt a lot of guilt about what she did to Alison over the years.I think that those two have got completely over their mutual rivalrous feelings and,in fact,a nice friendship was brewing between them,until the Rogue sacrificed herself to save Alison and the rest of the team.I agree with you,Hi-Fi;Rogue and Alison should start having more interactions.

And by the way,Rogue asked Alison to blast her through the Siege.
