I was thinkin' since the Ultimate universe is just a rewritten 616 where people can die "die". Do you think they will recreate verisons of CW and the HoM? If so what changes would you expect?

IMO I think they will and I don't expect much changes from the orginal CW and HoM. I just think alot of major deaths would occur there for changin' the Ultimate Universe alot.

BTW have there been a "BIG" Ultimate summer event yet?

What'd be the point most of the Super Heroes already work for shield or are to small to really care about

It's more than just a revamp. But I have to say, no. You won't see an Ultimate House of M in a million years.

What he said. The Ultimate Universe is basically a post-CW world. The superheroes are registered, rich and considered federal agents.

Agreed. I just don't see the point. If anything, it seems like the 616 Marvel U is trying to become more like the Ultimate U through Civil War.

Wow.

This is not even close to an accurate description of the Ultimates titles.

Honestly, name one story in the Ultimate Universe that is a "rewritten" version of a pre-existing story.

The Clone Saga which is going on right now in Spider-man.

I'm not sure that counts, as it basically is just the next big storyline. If anything, probably Ultimate War. Which wasn't that great, although more due to confusing artwork. I think. The artwork was so confusing, I couldn't tell if the story was any good.

Ultimate Galatus was a big Ultimate Universe event that spanded several series an included chracters from every Ultimate title but Spiderman

Yeah they already have Superhero registration.

Well sort off.

Normal Capes, Daredevil, Moon Knight, HawkOwl get left alone.

Mutants the same.

Illegal Genetic Mutations on the the other hand are drafted into SHIELD (well if there good), Spiderman will join SHIELD when he hits 18.

The Plot line of Ultimate War runs fairly similar to Civil War, Big explosion, many die. So on.... The only difference was it was just Ultimates vs Xmen and so on. Heros vs Heros. I can see a ton of roots from that series... Didnt Millar do Ultimate War? To answer my own question. Yes.

Definitely not House of M because MArvel doesn't make the same mistake twice, they come up with new ones.
Civil War probably not because the social and political dynamics that sparked the Civil War in 616 just aren't there in UM

i was playing this storyline with my marvel legends with me friend who only reads ultimate comics
instead of having nitro blow up the school we had a riot in the shild prision leaving nick fury dead cause of hulk killed him(we had it take place before ultmates 2 but curret time in everyting else)
that lead every prision except deadlok escaped and captain a and iron head of shield
president passed resigar act and all the shreet level guy like daredevil and ironfist, all the x-men except jeans and cyclops anti because of what happed to beast with sentails, and thor and wasp fighting the law.
the fanstic four and the xmen broke up
spiderman joined ultmates
and we has like a 3 hour fight with pro people fight all the villians
in the end all the pro won but ultmates where the only team left(they replaced thor and wasp with reed and spidey)
yeah im loser leave me alone

I think replicating some of these events in small scale would be alright, I think huge scale crossovers would need to be innovative and new for the UU. I look forward to Ultimate Power to say the least.

Ultimate Civil War would need a few more years on the Ultimate universe, more established characters and then it could be replicated in such an interesting way. Especially with Ultimate Cap's somewhat more in-your-face attitude and Iron Man's more laid back attitude it could almost be in reverse.

Ultimate Cap supporting registration with the assistance of the more conservative Ultimates like Wasp, Hawkeye, Falcon and Fury against Iron Man on the run supporting his own cause through his wealth taking Wanda and Pietro for their stance amongst the mutant community and a huge presence by Thor.

Ultimate Spider-Man with all his teen angst and identity issues would mean this one couldn't quite unmask, the Fantastic Four wouldn't mind their public identities and thus no split and Ultimate X-Men would undoubtibly be against it.

So already their you've got a huge roster and some interesting tie-in stories:

Captain America (leader, Pro-Registration), Wasp, Hawkeye, Falcon, Fury, Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Girl, The Thing, Human Torch

Iron Man (leader, Anti-Registration), Thor, Quiksilver, Scarlet Witch, X-Men, Spider-Man

Then it would pave the way for a HUGE mini and intersting stories running throughout each title, e.g.

Ultimate Civil War - showing each major steps in terms of this more realistic, less posthuman filled world and the communication between the major parties of the 4 cornerstone titles and various other characters (such as Daredevil).

Ultimate Spider-Man - an arc involving a few of Spidey's major villains throughout the series and the impact of the Civil War when a teenager has to fight major battles, evade any potential to be discovered and juggle life in general.

Ultimate X-Men - the X-Men's each individual stance, their collective disagreement with the registration act and the Frost's Academy's agreement with the act.

The Ultimates - Ultimates Dissassembled, playing in the same fashion of New Avengers Dissassembled, would make for an awesome story arc

Ultimate Fantastic Four - Their dealings with registration and their strange science experiments that can sometimes contradict their responsibilities under the act.

Well that was detailed, but that's what I imagine anyway...

Yuck. Yuck, yuck, yuck.

The Ultimate Universe is not about re-telling old stories. There hasn't been any "remake" of a 616 story, and I think it should stay that way. This is a terrible, awful idea, and it would destroy the UU for me if it ever reached this point.

I frankly find that the Ultimate universe is boring. I mean, I played Ultimate Spider Man, and it was way too similar to the Spider Man 2 movie game. Also, the whole thing with Green Goblin being this giant creature was ridiculous. I would consider maybe buying the one moon knight appearance in Ultimate Spidey, but that's it. And I really don't think Civil War or House of M should ever be redone in Ultimate, because it would just ruin it.

I know this and I didn't say that they should replicate it, they have also not directly replicating but they still take tonnes of influence in terms of stories.

You find the Ultimate Spider-Man comics boring, because a tie-in video game was too similar to a previous game starring the same character? Uh huh...

You might want to try judging the comics after you read them.

I'm sorry, The Foreigner, I shouldn't have said that. I know, I only played the game, but from what i got from that story and how the characters were changed, i'm too much of a spidey purist, and didn't like how MJ knew who he was when he was still in High School. I'm sorry for bad-mouthing the Ultimate Universe.
