LOL very true. I'm trying to remember if they were even together in any of the old JLI issues.

I would think so. Both were living on Earth at the time - if Barda showed up, she was living at home while Scott was out adventuring with the team...

Barda was a fairly prominent supporting character in JLI when Scott was on the team. Most of the time, her role was relegated to ragging on Scott for superheroing when they had been planning on retiring to a life in the 'burbs, but she also played more prominent parts. She and Scott hosted the JLI barbeque (which was eventually crashed, quite literally, by the Joker); she suited up and joined the team when Scott was kidnapped by Mister Nebula; she helped train Fire when she got her upgraded powers and chased after some punk who stole her Mega-Rod; and she punched out Max Lord when everyone thought Scott had been killed in the line of duty.
She was never an official member of the team though. As mentioned, she really just wanted to lead a quiet life with her hubby.
Honestly, as much as I love her, working with my wife would make me go completly nuts in about a week. And I'd make her nuts even sooner.
I bet it's the same for Barda and Scott.
