Red Tornado appearance question

Over the years, the Red Tornado android has changed its appearance a number of times...being wrecked and rebuilt on various occassions. Since CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS, Reddy seems to have gone back and forth from having a fully human-like face (complete with nose and lip constructs) to having mere slits for eyes and mouth (a la Iron Man's faceplate). We never see exactly how or why Reddy goes back and forth between these two appearances. Any explanation?

One's his normal face, and the other is his "poker" face.

Reddy has become quite the gambling addict lately, so he wears the poker face more often.

Yeah, I think it's just how different artists decided to draw him. The iron man face is a product RT's Young Justice days, I believe, and I personally don't care for it.

He also had the "Iron Man face" during his stint in Primal Force, which was a few years before YJ.

Y'know, it's funny you bring up Iron Man when talking about Red Tornado's constant facial changes........over the years, people have levied the same kind of questions and complaints about IM's constant costume changes.

Of course, we have the fact that Tony Stark was a drunk to fall back on to explain that. Not Red Tornado, though. ;) :p

I loved this version of RT - was way cool, focussing on his "Air Elemental" aspect.
