this has been on my conscience for a long time but i feel like aquaman was never held responsible for abondoning those kids especially without saying goodbye or nothing.
i know j'onn took over but he wasnt the one who founded them and left them high and dry:mad:
i mean i feel like someone should have been held responsible for that whole disaster.
call this fanboy whining if you will but its just my opinion

I think the whole reasoning behind Aquaman leaving and J'Onn taking over was that this was an ALL-NEW League and J'Onn was to be its only connection to the past.
What about Zatanna? She left the group high and dry, too. And what about Batman, who was with the Detroit League for a little while?
Shouldn't those heroes be held responsible, too?
Really, though, why should Aquaman be held responsible since these characters existed long after he left?
I loved the Detroit League. I've been a big fan of theirs since I read their exploits and the destruction of that particular incarnation of the League since I first read them 20 years ago.
I thought that was a great way to end a League that almost NO ONE BUT ME liked. They battled for their place in JLA history, they saved lives and served humanity and died in battle. What a great trade paperback that would make...

The funny thing was , Aquaman disbanded the old justice league to form his own poor third rate version because he wanted full time commitment from the members , instead he's the first to leave them high and dry. :D
Batman only joined after martian manhunter begged him to and he joined for his own agenda .

Hang on, didn't he leave to find his wife who had disappeared? Pretty good reason, it's not like he just ditched 'em to hang out with seahorses.

No idea since i do not follow JL detroit but i read the issue he came back in , issue 250 where all the big guns (supes,gl,bats etc) came back to help the JL detroit and it was hinted when he joined towards the end that he has a personal agenda for joining.

Okay , i check out the issue. After j'ohn ask him , bats turned him down and then Gypsy goes teary eyed and beg him and then bats said yes and he said that he will give it a year.
And then in bats own thoughts after that "Gypsy thinks she convinced me ..... but i have my own reason for rejoining the league. And when i reveal those reasons, she'll be very SURPRISED".
Batman has his own agenda , but i have no clue what that is. :)

typical bat dick always looking out for himself:rolleyes:
still i blame aquaman and not because i dont like him but i think someone should be held responsible why i choose aquaman is he founded the team and lead them originally.
so i feel like he should have owned up to his responsiblity.

Killed by Professor Ivo's robots , Vibe got strangled to death , Steel got damaged beyond repair though still technically alive until Despero came calling much later in the JLI and destroyed his life support.
Gypsy managed to survive when the third rate JLA disbanded , although her parents were killed by Despero much later who had came looking for revenge against the remaining members of the justice league detroit.
