I didn't put Spectre on, even though he is enormously powerful, perhaps more so than any of the others, as I don't think it is a hero, in the traditional sense of the word like the others above who have all been on or connected to the JLA, JSA, JLU etc.

The Spectre is a whole new different level from anyone else. He is the DCU biggest gun but he's also the one to fall by the sidelines whenever a story needed a cosmic pansy to make a threat looked powerful. :D

He was a honorary member of the JSA , served as a member of the all star squadron during world war II. Whenever he's in a team , as per usual , he got his powers dumbed down.

The most powerful incarnations of Doctor Fate I've seen are PC Kent Nelson (non-existant) and Nabu (a cosmic). All the other Fates have just seemed like standard hero-magicians to me. Zatanna, however, can do practically anything. Bad guy comes along?. Liaj ot og. Guy threatning to destroy the Earth? Peels. Feeling parched and tired? Ettal Ahcom. She can do practically anything, which is why PIS and CIS are usually needed to write her correctly.

Wasn't that Nabu-Fate?Yeah, that's true. Though the host-less Fate was considerably weakened by that point, so I'd say he was probably less powerful than the Kent Nelson version of the character.

Zatanna was never THAT powerful until identity crisis seemed to boost up her magic level. Dr. Fate have always been one rung above her.
In the old Silver Age JLA , Zatanna had lost much of her power when she exhaust her natural magic reserves when she used her magic too much .
In the JLA/JSA crossover where the original Mr. Terrific died , Zatanna fell into a magical trap and nearly died if not for Dr. Fate who not only saved her but healed her in seconds. Also , in pre-crisis , when superman sought Zatanna's help for magical assistance in making him invulnerable to magic , she was unable to help him and then superman had to fly to earth 2 to ask Dr. Fate for help , which he could but superman changed his mind at the end.

And remember , it was hector hall fate who beat chaos lord ,Mordru and put him in the rock of eternity , Mordru who had beaten the magical power of the thunderbolt and held back the rest of the JSA.

Also , in Swamp thing , Dr. Fate was very much in the frontline against the approaching of the darkness along with the rest of the magical big guns like phantom stranger and spectre while Zatanna was in a room with the rest of the earthbound lesser sorcerers trying to provide psychic support to the frontline and it was only one simple psychic bolt from the darkness that would have killed Zatanna if it wasn't for her father , Zatara who took the spell to himself and died in her place.
Zatanna have always been 2nd string and by right , should have been dead instead of her father.

I would say that The Spectre is the most powerful as he has always been portrayed as such. After that, it would be the Kryptonians, Wonder Woman (her power grows and grows) and then the Marvel family.

I was actually thinking of this and I want to amend my list. I haven't seen anyone else list Deadman and in a team setting he could be incredibly powerful. He could easily reduce the teams from 10 v 10 to 11 v 9 ... or at the very worse 10 v 9 (if he can't control who he takes over).
